Loving the shadow sword group shot, that's some serious armour, Trojan looking good, trying to picture another 31 of those, would certainly make an interesting mass group shot with the rest of your vehicles

Found a FW Griffon on ebay that needed some TLC.

Had to build some parts as they were missing. Turned out looking OK, though.

    Re: SDKFZs Mechanised Guards

Primed the Griffon (still no desert yellow).

Colonel Jacka wanted to know about what i was goint to use as crew.
These i think. An old cadian and two digger corps/squats.

Never mind the small mortar round in the squats hands as he will be facing into the vehicle so you wont see it.

Done some work on my scratshbuilt Atlas.

Almost done with the crane/A-frame. Still need to build the rear dozerblade.

Looks ace bud... can't believe you used up a jacka chimera part though... you wait till he sees this!

You could also use the old vehicle missile launcher mount for the hinge on the a frame support beam means you can unclip it for ease of transport. It's what I did.... then realised it's basically what they did with the actual kit

So good to see you are using a brilliant part for you side armour. Might get some of that myself. LOL! That said I like that Digger Corp Squat with the monocular. Need to revisit them I think as I run out of heads for plastic Squats again.

@ savaaage: It looks like he survived Sounds like a good idea, but......Sad to say, thats too late. Ive already glued everything down. Dont fancy taking it all apart again.

@ Colonel Jacka: Guess who told me about them ?
PM sent regarding squats. Think they sell the arty crew separate, could be worth a look.

    Cheers, CB

Happy day over at the Tulean motor pool. New reinforcements from St Pius arrived today !
Unfortunately they encounterd some raiders while in transit that had to be dealt with. This left the platoon somewhat in need of some repair........

Here is a picture of Colonel Reus, some of the 33th brass and some of the repair team having a look at the newcomers.

Lets see when they get them back on line

Bugger they did take some damage in the Lander on the way over. Bugger Chaos and bloody Postie's. Hmmm don't know where the Smk Launchers and Antenna's went though. Watch that tank track that's come off I think that is the one I had on the wrong way and had to repair last year. I think your workshop Squats should be able to fix that issue. They now need to be repainted and in Desert Colours.

I'd probably do similar shots, if I had the space to set them up.

But then I'd have a whole lot more tanks if I had the resources as well. Especially if I had my own printer.

@ Colonel Jacka: Desert yellow it is then. Once i get my pots that is

@ Sauragnmon: Printed tanks.....why dont you give it a try ?

The basic Atlas is done. Need to add the stowage, a new commander and a new towcable as this on turned out to be a little thin.
Why does FW insist on using chains ? Cables it is for me and the 33th, thank you.

That rear spade was a pain in the *** to build. Not perfect, but it will do.

Works for me though. Good strong reverse blade. Whats the 12th Cadian Trooper doing there? That's my Lads uniform colours.

Alas, I don't have access to my own 3d printer to work with. Kinda slows down the process, which is annoying.

It's an idea, the main reason I'd love to have my own printer would be being able to test designs and refine them in a rather short turn-around period. I'm trying to see if my cousin in law's got his printer up and running, he's been having issues getting it running.

If we can get an idea of material cost, shipping and maybe a small profit margin, that might be something I can deal with for a degree of production, especially with a nice resin printer like the Form2.. I'd probably be accessing a filament printer at my level of operation.

    Re: SDKFZs Mechanised Guards

The Form1 was a godawful disaster. I wouldn't have consented to be anywhere near a Form2, until people I knew actually liked their results and could prove to me it wasn't just the company propaganda photos making it look like it had good prints. For US$5k, they're certainly pretty nice. (It's still no Perfactory Mini, but most of us don't have that kind of money.) I have my eye on a couple of Asian ones that have yet to release as well, that are potentially offering similar quality for significantly less due to using a different process again - and even if the quality isn't amazing, if they keep the US$1500 price tag, I'd get one for rapid turn around on concept models.

That said, for cheap POC we're sometimes running stuff on a Filament printer, just to see if our basic dimensions are in the ball park - like the new Leman Russ side I'm working on, especially given the file is 7 years old and I didn't have as many resources for measuring it at the time that I do now.

Love the spade, SDKFZ. Absolutely love it.
