Beautiful painting. Really great techniques. Especially the lights and lenses.

    Re: SDKFZs Mechanised Guards

    Thanks, Mates !

Glad you all like them. Allways fun to get some feedback on your models.
Ive started on a squad to go with the Rhino/M113, Catachans with Cadian helmets. They are just gray plastic right now so theres not much to show. Ill be back later with some pics. of them.

The Leviathan is sitting smartly on my working desk, waiting for me to get on with it. To be honest, ive not done anything on it since those last pics. i took.
And this weekend ive been working on the house again so theres not been any progress.

    Done another Bassie.

Also doing a "Getz" pattern Griffon.

Then i thought that i needed a friend for my Tauros Venator.

As before, i added a Cadian crew.

Oh wow, as usual your work is top notch. I love the attention to detail you lavish on each model. I can't wait to see them painted up.

I do have one question tho, what are you using for rivets? Is it the water filter balls?

    oooh awesome Tauros!!

is it hard to put cadian crew in it? can you do a lil tutorial?

id love to add some scouts to my Cadian army, but i was afraid that the big cadians wouldnt fit well in it...

    but yours look awesome!!

    That bassie is brilliant!

Did you use templates or just free build it?

The griffon is less impressive, but still very cleanly built. The venator is a beutiful modela nd the addition of the cadian crew and stowage hasn't changed that.

    Re: SDKFZs Mechanised Guards

Thanks alot, everybody ! Glad you like them.

@ F G M: I just use sliced 1mm rod. Time consuming but gets the job done.

@ Shinigami: Takes some time but its not that hard. For the driver i use the sentinel pilot -feet. Add the heavyweapons arms to grab the wheel. They need to be carved out where the elbows meets the chassie (underside/inside).
I keep the overall on the driver as cutting of the upper part of his body makes the legs less stabile.
Then just add head and your home free.

For the gunner i retained the legs from the ellysian but used an armoured cadian torso. Again with the heavyweaponsarms (fits nicely, needed no carving to hold the gun.)
The legs are a bit small but not to much. It would have bean harder to rebuild them from cadian stock. Not to mention building a new harness for him

    Hope that helped
    If not, call again !

@ Sheep: You know me, its all scratchbuilt from my own head.
The griffon is not as complete as the Bassie. It still needs lots of work to reach the Bassies level.
Hopefully its going to get better.

Oh btw, did some more work on the Rhino/M113 and her squad.

Did some highlighting on the APC and fixed five of the squadmembers.

Awsome, I love the 'chmero'. I've always liked the stryker and LAV looking vehicles. Turret looks aces, keep up the good work. =o]

And would you have a pattern for the basilisk hull? It looks amazing and I'd love to try and reproduce something similar. Really great work that has clearly had a lot of thought go into it.

@ Minigiant: I use tamiya desert yellow and olivedrab.

@ cowie165: Sad to say, i have no templates for it. I only made one and didnt think that anyone else would like to build from my ideas.
I can get you the measurements if you like, but im NO computer wizard so i wont be able to do any templates.

    I love the Griffon!
Rather simple but very well done!
I cannot wait to see the M113/Rhino finished with weathering and markings.

Oh ! I almost forgot, heres how i image the layout of my Tank-Transporter.

This will look somethig like a "HETS" M1070 Tractor but "40K-ified".

    SDKFZ,

Great minds must think alike. We are working the same models. I have three Tauros waiting for builds and I have just ordered three Griffins from FW. Mind you your scratch builds are excellent and really look the part. The "Getz" is looking good.
