Hello one and all and welcome to my plog. I have a large collection of models that need painting and a few opponents that have got use to me fielding armies of undercoated models will have a bit of a shock. . So firstly my lovely workstation.
Yes I am a Mac user. No jokes or sniggering at the back. As you can see its relatively empty and clean. Bit of reshuffle led to that. Before it used to be covered in paints and models. Anyway on to the projects.
Firstly is my Tomb Kings army. Last year my gaming buddies and I went through and built and painted an army in steps. 500 points, then 750points and so on until we had a fully painted 2000 point army.. I chose High Elves and I now have a 2000 point force fully painted and based. Well its five models and a bolt thrower short. However it looks nice. In the not so distant future we will be doing this again and I have gone for Tomb Kings.
The next project will be Skorne for Hordes and Mentoh for Warmachine. Just got started playing these games and so will be working my way through units and factions. Eying myself a Khordor and Cynar army as well. These models have always been nice to look at, so we’ll see how well they perform on the painting table.
Thirdly I am working my way towards a large scale re-enactment of the battle for Pleanor Fields using the War of the Ring Rules system. This will most involve painting movement trays and the odd model to make a formation. However there are a few pressing matters like a fell beast mounted Witch King and the forthcoming plastic Fell Beast and adding models to create extra companies.
As a side to this company. I will be trying to clear my back log of LOTR models that I have accumulated over the years. Mainly thanks to the BGME magazine that GW released.
Next up we have my historical armies. Currently I am working on two main armies. A Late War (1918) German army for use with The Great War rules set and a Scot Covenanter army for ECW and Black Powder. I will also be doing a British Napoleonic force as well, but that’s been put on hold until I see what is happening with the Warhammer Ancients rules set that has been recently promised.
Finally we have the odds and sods section. I have a large number of models that I have brought just because they take my fancy. Things like 40k models, random Warhammer models that will become an army one day and bits and bobs I picked up from shows. Will come under this section. I am currently working on a Wood Elf Noble and the plastic Ork Nob that came free with a White Dwarf recently.
So now that the boring post is over lets look at some models.
