RIGHT this is not on your shameing me now i havent finished any thing in weeks but every time i come on you and keravin have finished something else B******* its not a compation i know but

any way love the kreil warrior, the unit should look awsome when its finished i know the feeling about certain typs of minis getting boring to paint or frustrating had the same feeling when i did my bloodweavers was never happy painting them so rushed them a bit to get them finished and i'm still not happy with them. leigon beast's just seem skin and armour plates not much else on them kind of a bit bland compaired with circle or skorne i see trolls kind of in the same leauge as legion

Liking your Typhon. Certainly wouldn't like to meet him down a dark alley, Probably wouldn't see him. Your darker scheme works well though.

And as usual, two thumbs up on your Trolls.

Love the glow effect on Typhon. Does his lower body not need a bit more colour, because it looks a little too dark in comparison.

Nah, don't worry, I tend to have bursts of activity as well. Sometimes I get a lot done, sometimes not so much. For instance, after this update it will be a while before something new comes around. A small kid, house and fulltime job tend to make the opportunities for painting rather scarce!

Thanks! You are absolutely spot on about Legion Warbeasts. However, it's kind of funny that you should mentioned Trolls in the same league as Legion in that aspect, as I like them a lot exactly for being so different from Legion. Trolls tend to have clothing, armour and weapons, and the elemental strains add the opportunity for radically different paint schemes.

Thanks. I think it's a trick of light with the lower body. It's the exact same colour as the rest. But as the colour scheme is so dark I need a lot of light to illuminate it for photographs. Having only a single light source the Legion minis receive much illumination on the upper part, which may cause fake highlights on the top and fake shade on the bottom.

Alas, enough with the talk...On to the minis!

I must say, when Hordes first came to my attention, it was the cartoony style wat the trolls were painted that put me off them, and your way is inspiring.
I may just get some as a second faction!

Yeah, I'll give that that is absolutely true for the Dires. However, the lesser trolls sport plenty of armour and other stuff (the Bouncer is almost solely armour), and the elemental trolls can be given different coloured skin for a bit of variance. For Legion, the Serephim have a little armour and clothes, but for anything else it's just scales and flesh in the same colour. Oh well, it might just be me getting a phobia for dragon spawn

I don't know. I'll agree that Grim is probably the best sculpt of the released TB Warlock (though I believe that Gunnbjorn will replace Grim for the top spot when he is released). IMHO, eDoomshaper is a good sculpt, but nothing spectacular. Borka, on the other hand, might not technically be the best sculpt, but that mini just oozes character, so I really like it...

Nah, it's just real life catching up

But apart from that, I AM busy stripping minis - it's just the rest of my Trollbloods and a few Legion minis

However, now that you mention torture, I have come to a final realization. After 4 repaints I simply have to face that I HATE painting Legion warbeasts.
I paint because I enjoy it, not as such because I need to get minis finished to play with. As such, there is no other way. I am giving up. Yes, I am quitting Legion!
I am already in the process of selling of my Legion force, painted, unpainted and stripped minis alike. Part of the deal is to paint up Saeryn and Rhyas in the current paint scheme, so this plog will stay true to it's name at least a little longer. I am keeping eThagrosh though and the battlebox though. I can't bear to part with such an insanely cool mini as Thags, and despite this is one mini I'd really like to paint again
The money will probably go to expanding my Trollbloods and either boosting the Cryx or making a small Circle force..

Thanks. Yeah, it's not so much that the individual Legion Warbeast is that boring, but they are just very, very samey when you a paint a lot of them. They basically consist of skin, scales and teeth/claws in various amounts! Though with some you get exiting variations like gums (Carnivean/Typhon) or patches of clothing or even weapons (Nephilim)

Went back and looked at some of your older stuff. I think youre definitely getting better as you go. The trolls you do are my favorite, I think they fit your style well.

More seriously, I imagine a T4 Garryth list could be very nasty if unprepared for it. However, my experience with Retribution stealthy-assassiny stuff tells me that it is exceedingly vulnerable. If you got anything which counter-acts Stealth, it will drop very very fast (me trying something similar against Siege Brisbane was not pretty!). Also, anything which have Stealth itself always spells trouble for us poor elves...

My experience is the same as Hrafn on Stealth retribution stuff. Looks great, but it may survive longer if its enmasse.
