Ladies and gentleman i welcome you to yet another project log, as some of you know i am massively fickle with my painting attention span and switch from project to project in short succession. I am intended to re-structure all my exisitng forces and models into a task force under the command of an Inquisitor.
I have no real concrete plan or structure for the building of this army, but i do have a few ideas as to what i want to achieve, initially these are as follows:
- Ordo Xenos Inquisitor + Retinue
- Inquisitorial Chimera, subtley converted.
- Deathwatch Librarian
- Deathwatch Kill Team
- Deathwatch Dreadnought
- Storm Trooper Squad + Chimera
- Storm Trooper Squad + Chimera
- Storm Trooper Squad + Chimera
- Adeptus Mechanicus Magis Biologis + Servitors
- Adeptus Mechanicus themed transport vehicle conversion
I am as yet undecided on what i will use as my storm troopers but Death Korps of Krieg Grenadiers are my current favourites, only time will tell. I am also undecided on how to go about the adeptus mechanicus transport too... However without further ramblings i give you the leader of the Imperial forces in question:
Inquisition Ezio Auditore Da Firenze
Secondary Adept of the Conclave of Har, Xeno-Scourge of Abstergo
A human male Inquisitor Ezio was raised on the planet of Monteriggioni by his father Giovanni Auditore an expert in xeno-mechanics and a senior researcher for the Adeptus Mechanicus Departmento Xeno-Technologis. Under his father’s guiding hand Ezio was well learned in the sciences of xeno technology and subsequently the biology of a great many races themselves. It was because of his field education that at the age of 17 Ezio was seconded into the retinue of Inquisitor-Lord Altair Ibn La-Ahad. Altair was a strict Puritan, but more relevantly a Thorian. Altair believed that Ezio had potential to become the ‘vessel’ for the Emperor’s resurrection! Altair focused almost all his attention on raising Ezio to embrace this destiny, a path Ezio was reluctant to tread. Altair looked to further Ezio’s ascension within the Thorian faction but for unkown reasons was refused sanction by the Lord-Inquisitor Varius, Advocate Judge of the Conclave of Har, a decision that Ezio welcomed.
5 years after Ezio’s induction into Altair’s retinue the planet of Monteriggioni was captured by Tau forces and subsequently ordered ‘exterminatus’ by Inquisitor-Lord Varius. Further investigation revealed Varius signed the order to cover up unsanctioned xenos weapons development. It should be noted that this order also condemned over 11 billion people to death, amongst them Ezio’s family. Altair looked to expose Varius’ activities to the Ordo Hereticus but was arrested upon meeting with them. Altair was later convicted and executed for exceeding his Inquisitorial mandate based on fabricated evidence presented by Inquisitor-Lord Varius. In the years following Altair’s death Ezio was instrumental in exposing Inquisitor-Lord Varius’ illegal activities to the Ordo Hereticus. It was Ezio that allowed the Ordo Hereticus to intercept Varius’ transmission regarding the Anphelion Project and the demise of Inquisitor Soloman Lok, a friend of Altair. Although agreeing that Varius was a threat the Ordo refused to sign his death warrant whilst he remained useful in fighting the Tyranid Hive Fleets. Ezio has since taken it upon himself to plot Varius’ assassination, holding him personally responsible for the death of his world, mentor and family. At the age of 24 Ezio was inducted as a Secondary Adept into the Conclave of Har, a step closer to his eventual goal… Varius later uncovered Ezio's plot but chose not to expose him to the Ordo Heresticus and instead had Ezio assigned to duties on the far Eastern fringe, an effective bannishment.
Ezio’s ulterior motives and goals mean that he keeps a very limited retinue, trusting only a few with his secretive objective. Most commonly Ezio is supported by an all purpose servo-skull and his Xeno-Biologis advisor. Formally belonging to his father the part bionic thrall acts as a library and Autosavant. Ezio has close ties with the Adeptus Mechanicus partly because of his childhood but mostly because of his repeated recovery of xeno-technologies. Ezio is particularly well equipped, having inherited the armour and equipment of his former Mentor; Altair. The armour was designed and crafted for Altair by the great artificer Missaglias Helmschmied; whose Terran workshops are considerd one of th finest in the Imperium, It was from Helmschmied that Ezio aquired his modified Refractor Field.
Despite his Thorian upbringing Ezio's beliefs are more akin to those of the Star Child Cults, believing that the Emperor is imprisoned on the Golden Throne and only the termination of his life will allow his ascention to truely become a God-Like being. Ezio has had a focused career battling mostly against the Tau Empire, with some experience fighting against Ork and Eldar forces. The most notorious event in Ezio’s career is his successful cleansing of Tau occupation from the Abstergo Forgeworld. His actions enabled the successful minimisation of collateral damage and the capturing of a great many Tau forces and their technology.
As the more astute amongst you may have noticed i have borrowed and stolen from the Assassin's Creed 2 franchise for names, places and references. Not only does this help to guarantee a solid theme throughout the fluff, but it pays hommage to a fantastic Science Fiction inspiration of my mine.
The model iteself is clearly forgeworld's Inquisitor Solomon Lok, i sketchedd and planned some conversions but in the end decided the model was perfect as it is. Again with the painting scheme i have largely followed forgeworld's example painting him almost exactly as they have.
More to follow shortly...

It is a great model none the less!
