Nice job on the scouts mate, i dont think i like the new plastic scouts as much as the older metal ones however.

Lovely work on the dread mate, I really like that, his pod looks cool too.
Not entirely sure why I've not commented on this log again recently, obviously I've been sick in the head. Though essays and not wanting to put meaningless platitudes may also explain it.
This army is going from strength to strength; the Scouts are subtle and realistic, you've got painting yellow down to a 'T' and that Dreadnought idea? Consider it well and truly stolen.
I am pleased you like my progress so far, there is certainly more to come!
Thanks fella, i think that well thought our fluff and contextual information is integral to an Army, especially characters and uniquie units.
Thanks Smoke, that was indeed my aim, Cyrus was my inspiration!
Thanks for the comments gents, and the debateI think the new plastic scouts are great kits, they really enable conversion and kit bashing, unlike the more rigidly posed metal scouts. I do however agree that the plastic heads are a little lame, hense the use of goggles on mine.
Next up is armour! I am currently working towards 2 Rhinos and a Razorback, which with any luck i'll get finished in the not so distant future!
Thanks for the inspiration fella and the compliment, i was careful to reference you in the dreadnought post, i think sources of inspiration should always be acknowleded and recognised!!
Thanks fella, i'm very pleased with both and its nice to know others like them too!
No worries fella, i completely get it! Its good to have you on board, thanks for the support, it really is appreciated!!
Thanks to everyone to who has commented, given c&c and thanks to all those who have simply taken the time to look over the project log, your support and interest is very much appreciatedUpdate to follow...
UPDATE: 1000PTS ARMY
Right i have reached another mile stone in my project log, not only have i painted all the infantry for my 1500points target list but my force painted to date is exactly 1000points. Thus i thought it was about time i stopped promising an army photo and delivered one! So with out further ramblings here is my Imperial Fists army to date:
Captain Tiberius Vallarn (Pedro Kantor), 5 Sternguard Veterans, 20 Tactical Marines, 5 Scouts, Venerable Dreadnought & Drop Pod.
Apologies for the poor picture quality. From here i will be bringing in 2 Landspeeders, 2 Predators, 2 Rhinos and a Razorback to get me to my 1500pts target.
As i plan to build, spray and paint my armour in batches it may be a while, a few weeks or so, until i have another update for the Project Log, so until then thanks for all your support so far![]()

Excellent work, it's nice to see a force come together! I must admit, if I ever started a space marine army it would almost certainly be Imperial or Crimson fists and I would have to have the venerable dreadnought due to its power fist.

Nice Imperial Fist force, looking forward to the additions you have planned.
The feel of the army is very nice and the drop pod looks amazing, scout look pretty sweet too, a nice look to them.

i will definitely be waiting to see those tanks!
You're off to a great start, don't get too carried away with the armour in the long run. Tactical, assault and devestator squads is the shizzle![]()
