    Thanks LokkoRex

non picture update: Had my 3rd ever battle with my Tau this afternoon, got them well and truley eaten by a mates 'Nids. Didn't help that I had expected to fight Eldar or Marines, but never mind- I'll be better prepared next time!

On the Ork front, they are progressing slowly but not had much free time. Will get pics up soon though....

I have bad traumas from my friends' Tau... I ran 4 trukks, with line formation, a goodly made shot on the middlest one and impressive blast radius of 6' holy molly, the trukks next to the middlest exploded and it really slowed down my horde. Then he shot finely made submunitions to them and they were pinned down by the Pulsar firing...

    we want pics!

    Cheers

    Update:
been bashing some paint around on and off now for a couple of weeks and have got the base colours and some details done on my nobs and war boss. I've hit a snag on the war boss though...

what colour should I paint his attack squiq?!?

That beret is sweet. Warboss looks badass. I really like the deffkoptas.

Colour for the squig eh? I'd say green, It matches very well with red. Second option would be blue, thou it makes him look he's wearing russian or czech flag on himself. Hmm... Yellow? Orange?

Decided on purple- largely cos its my nieces favourite colour and was thinking about her before I started painting the other morning!

    So update time:

Love the warboss! Nice to see the AOBR boss used so well.

Nice painting, Borsil, + liking the AOBR conversion - he looks really menacing (just like every self-respecting Warboss should).

    Thanks for the comments guys

And here is an example of what the basing scheme for these boyz is. I'm drawing a line under my orks for the time being, will probably pick up either a couple of dreads or lots of burna boyz when I feel like going green again.

In the mean time though, I've started work on 3 squads to add to my Dark Angels before I muster my Imperial Guard - AOBR Terminators, a command squad made up of assorted old mini's and a squad of the old metal scouts. Watch this space!

must confess, I don't really like rust on infantry miniatures- unless they are plague marines... if I ever get round to some vehicles for the orks they I'll rust 'em though

    Update:
my command squad is converted up and base colours blocked in, as are the scouts.
Off work today and tomorrow so hopefully get a fair bit done if I can drag my self away from Mass Effect!

What about battle dmg? I don't really like plain metallics... at least on Orks. I hate trying to do good looking gold on my models, because I can't! Mrgh!

Cheers man, awaiting for more pics!
