Well I've got a small hobby update and a pretty massive life update....
My chimera with some mud/damage added...
And this will probably be my last update for quite a while. The wife and I just had an offer accepted on our first house so the next few months are going to be rather too busy to get much modelling done I would expect...
Hopefully my collection will survive the move to the new house and I'll be able to secure some room to have a proper hobby area!
Six months on and I'm back!! The house move is done, although still a lot of diy projects ongoing - the house is a bit of a fixer-uper! The spare room (officially designated as Geek Room) is currently still the room with the boxes in but I have at least managed to fashion a makeshift hobby table in the corner and start painting again. So, over the past week or so I have painted the rest of the platoon I had started before the move, however in typical style I can't for the life of me find the box I moved the transfers in and so cannot finish them. They are currently in a state of having all the colours and most of the detail work done, but needing unit numbers applied with transfers before washes and final detail work.
While I hunt for the transfer box, I have been playing around with the manual setting for my camera and took these shots of my commissar's ride;
I am also starting to work on updating my old Leman Russ Conqueror conversion, not sure what it'll get turned into, probably a Punisher...
So, I'm back and hopefully things will get moving along at a decent pace now!
The old Lemon is moving along;
some spots of the old paint job still showing through, I should probably of stripped but i was feeling lazy! Needs touch ups, markings, some stowage and some weathering...
This on the the other hand will definitely get stripped....
This is an old leman russ I bought off a friend for a couple of quid along with 2 platoons worth of infantry. It was painted a good 15-20 years ago (basically as soon as the kit was released apparently!) so the paint work isn't the greatest, so it will get stripped back to plastic and repainted in my scheme, along with some repairs and detailing hopefully!

Non picture update today, the Russ punisher has moved on slowly with some unit markings going on and some touch Ups. I did however track down my box of decals so I have finished off my 3rd platoon of guard including basing them, along with basing up my storm troopers and my sentinel. I've also dug out the next platoon worth of guardsmen and have started cleaning them up ready for base coating! Now I just need to keep focused and not get drawn off by the new dark angel stuff :-P
Might have missed this somewhere but what is the turret from that chimera made from? It looks brilliantalso liking the red leman russ conversion! Nice canon
The turret is a 1/72nd scale Abrams turret, with the smaller scale details shaved off and gw'd up
A little preview today of something i'm currently working on...
My original plan was for a full platoon of these guys but I'm now straying back toward having a single veteran squad... maybe led by Bastonne....
And..... I'm back!
I've been tinkering away with my guard and finally have the 3rd platoon and HQ ready for basing. Unfortunately it seems in the move last year my PVA has gone missing so I can't base them up atm, but will head out and get some more tomorrow. In the mean time a couple of pics;
Hopefully I'll have them based up tomorrow and then I'll post some more pictures...
