Re: Terrain from Russia. (*sorry for my English)))

    Hello, friends!

I began to do stone house with a tiled roof. Fully enclosed (box) - respectively, inside i didn't paint anything.

Step 1: Cut four pieces (the walls). Two rectangular (side), two genital (under roof).

Step 2: Cut out of balsa or other wood (from popsicle sticks), wooden beams, trying on and presses them into the wall in the right places, then put around the texture of stone using pencil..

Step 3: Cut doors, windows. Make wooden texture and other elements and paste back.

Step 4: Trying on what we made (there are three walls on photo , since the fourth I have not done)

Step 5: Making the last - the fourth wall (the pipe). The pipe would do two rectangular pieces of styrofoam.

Then apply a wooden beam and then apply the stone texture:

Step 6: Merge all the walls and base.

Step 7: Making the beams under the tile. The number of beams is determined by eye on the situation.

Step 8: The most entertaining segment. Making tiles. Tile is sliced thick cardboard (you can buy a children's canvas for creative work).
Measure the length of the roof. I cut strips of cardboard appropriate length and width of 1 cm
Then these strips cut (not completely) on the small tiles, the distance between the slits of about 7mm.
Here's how it should look like:

Step 9: Glue the tiles to the beams. We start from the bottom and go up to the strip shingles were superimposed on each other. Using PVA, waiting when it dry, and then on top, too neat strike a thin layer of PVA - it will make the tiles on the truth of clay-solid.
After all stuck on the ridge Glue corner of the cardboard.

    That's final:

    And after painting:

    Thanks for your attention)

Good Idea, puting actualy beams under the roof creates a nice realistic sag in the shingles.

I'd say that in your first post you sold yourself a bit short. Your terrain is extremely good and is better than a lot of work many people on here make. Your terrain pieces are a great example of the best that home made terrain should be. I love what you've done.

They get better with every new piece you post.
