So got some work done on the reaver tonight as a break from painting the warhounds.

A stand in for the weapon arm, just to get a feeling.

Great work, Mate ! Love to see this baby grow. Those hoses on the head, are those from the warhound kits ?

Wish you the best of luck on you build, Mate !

    Thanks guys

SDKFZ: Yeah they are left over cables from the warhound, which I allowed myself to use on my own project since I'm not charging more then one third of the price of the two warhounds for a fairly high amount of work and a good paintjob (mainly because I'm doing it for a friend and because it would be stupid to pass down the opportunity to build and paint two of these gorgeous things)

    The Custodian:
The head is based on the land speeder storm set and These are the only W.I.P. pics I got of the early stages, hope they help

Interesting use of parts. I've noticed space marine drop pod ramps on back of head.

I specifically bought the landspeeder storm for this project, and yes my drop pod had an unfortunate incident with my razor saw :P

Re: The mighty Mechanicus ! Scratch- built Lucius pattern Reaver Titan

I got some work done on one of the weapons, it's a volcano canon
The planned weapon configuration will be the volcano canon, a triple barrelled lascanon and for the hull mounted weapon I might go for the plasma gun mount.

Pics of the gun tagged in place, the head is a little lower that supposed to as it's also just tagged in place for the photo. I need to make the big gunshields which is why there is no detailing on the back part of the gun that is turning outwards. Let me know what you think of the gun guys

The head is based on a Land Speeder Storm? Dang, that's creative genius! Love the gun arm! It's a nice, big, frightening boomstick. Oh, since you're building a Lucius pattern Reaver, take a look at the gun shields on the arms of a Lucius Pattern Warlord. They might look great -allthough a bit downscaled- on your titan, Artificer!

Head isn´t based on Landspeeder Storm, it is actually builded around it. But I agree it is clever idea.

Btw do you have this FW resin EPIC model of Reaver to have dimensions and proportions?

    Thanks, glad you like it
Well I chose to use the storm variant based on its parts, as I've seen some guy use the regular land speeder for the head of a warhound. But the regular LS lacked a lot in the parts it had, mainly in the crew section where the marine legs are cast as part of the seats, and I didn't quite like that. Also the storm has a lot of awesome small bits to be used elsewhere which is always nice.
Both the Lucius reaver and the warlord models for epic has the gun shields, and mine will probably be more like the warlord ones as I on't like the rim on the FW lucius reaver.

    Thanks mate
Well technically I hacked the storm apart, but the main piece of the head is the buttom section of the storm, so yeah in that sense it's built around it :P
No unfortunately I haven't got the model, but I might want to get it some time, I have a lot of great pics of it though. The only thing that went a bit wrong on mine was the shoulders I think, but that may line out when I bulk them up a bit.

    Small update guys.

First is this collegia titanica logo that I originally made for my (now deceased) warlord, what do you think, is it too big for this fella ??

I magnetised the head so it now sits in its proper place, and can be removed easily.
Also here's a better scale shot next to a warhound.

Absolutely stunning. I wish I had your talent, The Damned Artificier. What is the story behind the collegia titanica emblam?

Size of the emblem looks fine!

However, I'm gonna go ahead and say that I think with the experiences you've had since you originally made that one, that you can probably do a lot better now! It's got a lot of empty space in it, maybe add some wings? Or maybe during the painting stage, skulling it up or something like Klaus demoed on his Zeus log?

Great to see it standing there next to the Warhounds! You've really nailed this one!
