Sandy white coral beaches with occasional tufts of grass. He'd fit right in.

There's nowt wrong with using washes and shading dips for a quick and simple yet effective scheme. I think it looks pretty good, especially the heads, but then I'm a sucker for gas masks.

In other news, close ups of my spec ops team can be found here.

Edit: Apparently my Trolldar was offline.

Re: The Imperial Guard Foot Soldier Thread!

I've always hated the idea of cavalty in the IG. Just felt wrong. But the Rough Riders are the only unit I didn't have...

I've seen a lot of bike-riding units, and wanted to avoid doing another. What else was there?

Flying infantry! Hell yeah! Now that days Future! And so, here are my first 2 members of me Rough Riders squad. All the extra bits are from Maxmini. Saddly, I've come to the conclusion I need more arms with the open hand, so I'm gonna have to go find them somewhere...

Indeed. What is the dark part based on? Also, great modelling with the cadian kit

My Vokes Nomads. Note that the all the veteran squad troopers have hoods to make them stand apart from the original guardsmen. Half of the squad is female soldiers and it shows, including the sergeant. Special weapons where hard to convert but the Tanith female made the perfect base for all the special weapon conversions. There are only 3 male special weapon gunners in the army and they all carry the standard plasmagun that Tanith models have in standard, all other special weapon troopers are female.

The Sergeant was to be originally a female version of Marbo and was fun to make. Her legs where taken of the model from old classic female Catachan grenade launcher trooper, arms from Dark Elf warrior sprue, head and torso from Wood Elf glade guard plastic sprue. Some bits where added from the plastic Catachan command plastic parts. In fact all the female hooded heads are from glade guard plastics and male hooded heads are from Bretonnian peasant bowmen plastics. Other female heads are from Daemonette plastics.

Captain and Standard Bearer are from the necromunda line with light conversion.
It's time for some indescribable justice!
