Primaris Psyker (sorry I just CAN'T get the bloody light right):

My 2nd PCS (PIP); needs the leather done and the bases:

I'm currently working on 6 Ogryns, 2 platoon squads, 30 storm toopers, a CCS with advisors, 10 penal legion "counts-as", 10 ratlings and 2 vet squads.
And there I was thinking I had finished 1/2 of the infantry

Here is a very small selection from the two guard armies I own, one is technically a bunch of traitors but hey, we can't all be perfect .

    Elysian veterans with Drop Commissar.

Renegades from Vraks with their motivating "Commissar" Lord.

I know not all of them are in focus, but these are all the pictures I've got at the moment.

INCREDIBLE Penal Troops. As soon as I saw the Praetorian Overseer I was reminded that they all look like the similarly Victorian convict from the film adaptation of Great Expectations.

Wow Saftis I am gobsmacked with your Vraks renegades! Do you mind if you say how you converted the commissar? He's awesome!

Re: The Imperial Guard Foot Soldier Thread!

Thanks hobodog, I dont't mind at all .

He is mainly a composit of 3 FW figures, built from a Death Korps Commissar with the head from the commander of the renegade command squad and the torso from a rogue psyker (the one with the star on his chest).

Basically the commissars chest was hollowed out and the psykers chest was trimmed to fit and the gaps filled with green stuff. The claw arm is built from plasticard and half a air filter (cut from the back of a renegade trooper). The bolt pistol is a cut down variant of the one from the renegade enforcer kit. The head is slightly modified with a bionic eye made of a small piece of brass tube and green stuff.

You can't see it in this image but he also has the enforcer helmet on his belt behind his left arm.

My first colour scheme for my previously posted mechanized infantry. Not the best paintjob I know, but good enough for an entire army.

Now that they have paint on them, the heads look pretty good. Kind of reminds me of Soviet tank helmets and their aardvark style gas masks without the hose and filter.

Some great ideas in here guys, so keep the pictures coming.
This goes back a ways so I hope you still remember how you did this. I'm trying to re-start the work on my IG based on the American Civil War Union army and I'm having trouble with shading and highlighting both the dark blue tunics and the pale blue pants. If you recall how you accomplished the dark blue on these guys, I'm a step closer. Thanks in advance.
Yes, there are female marines and my Sunhawks will explain it to you.
