Like your steamcannon, this model just keeps getting better the longer you look at it. The detail you've added is absolutely astounding, and worthy of much praise (as I've no doubt you'll get!). I'll also say that the most hilarious bit on the model is how subtle the rinox's legs are, as you don't see them right away when looking at this model.

I a gutted that of all the units I own in my ogre army. Mournfangs are the one I never thought of cause I never have used them!

That is a superb conversion and I love all the fine details and I love your use of the liquid greenstuff to create the wood effect. I have to say when we see this painted my eyes will be eager to see every little detail! I do so wish I could see this army in the flesh, cant wait to see whats next in this cryptic continue of an army...

Cant wait to see what direction the plog will be takeing. Its been really amusing to follow the clues and guesswork.

Its looking really good, still top rough to say anything constructive about it. But i love the idea and so far it looks like it will be another big model full of details. The kind you so so good!

Are you going to do a thundertusk at some point? Do you have any ideas for it yet? (dont want to know what that would be yet, though)

I'm speechless..... It'd be a honour too, thankyou very much. Hmm let me think, I think I'll name her; "H.M.S Bertha" (His Maw's Service ) If that's all right with you of course.

Right on to the model itself, I have to say the amount detail you've managed to cram onto that ship is just staggering, and the feet are just the icing on the cake for me. Great work mate!

Wow, amazing stuff as usual, interesting to see you used liquid greenstuff for the wood panels.
Can we get a birds-eye view picture at some point? I feel like there might be stuff in the ship that we're missing out on!
Is it on the normal Mournfang base?

Excellent stuff once again and really looking forward to seeing this painted as this brings out so much of the character in your miniatures. Interested to see the direction the plog takes.

    Re: Ogre Maneaters

Thanks guys, really appreciate all the comments!

Lord Dan: Thanks! Haha yeah the original idea was just to do the skeleton of the boat, so you could see the Rhinox beneath, but I kept working on it until it was a full thing. Now you can barely make out the Rhinox, which I think is a lot funnier!

Cragum: Yeah I've never used Mournfang, but I've seen them used and they've done really well. They're not exactly fast, and don't really fill the role that cavalry do in most other armies. You have to treat them more like shock troops - Ogres that get a few more basic attacks and have decent armour.

Thrillhouse: It'll be a sort of narrative within a narrative. Very meta! I think I'll be doing a Thundertusk. I've certainly got an idea for one, but I'm not sure the army list has room for it. We'll see!

Deff Mekz: Haha! Yes, that's great! Bertha it is! I'll find somewhere for a name plate.

Ftayl: Yeah, it seemed like an easy way to cover the whole thing and then score down for the wood finishing. And I think it worked fine! Birds-eye view below for you. Yeah, I think it's on a Mournfang base. I don't have any of the actual miniatures, so I had to guess. They're on chariot bases, right? I actually went from having a Rhinox too small to fill the base, to a big ship that pretty much covers the whole thing!

Karak Norn: Indeed, pirates are always fun! No paint for a little while I'm afraid. One or two things to do before then.

    Murdoch: Thanks!

Jonahmaul: Don't you worry, there'll still be plenty of Ogres coming, but also an extra section to the army.

    N810: I hope that's a good thing!

Alright, a little housekeeping today. First up, a birds-eye view of the landship:

Interestingly, originally I had the captain's cabin straight on like a typical ship, but then tilted it across a bit to really play up the idea that Gnoblars aren't that neat when putting scrap together.

Next up, I did a basket for the Araby Ogre:

    Wicker, eh?

Painting-wise he's almost done. Just the basket and rope and a few bits to tidy up.

    More later in the week!

    Haha! Glad you approve.

The sculpting on the basket is superb mate and the whip/snake (made out of wire?) is pretty nifty as well. And don't even get me started on the paintjob....

Nice bird's eye view of the landship. The paintjob is good as always on the Araby Maneater. That wicker basket, however, is fantastic. At this rate you'll be selling your own sculpted and cast miniatures before next year's end.

Love the paint scheme on the Araby Ogre. Sure I can see some sort of white face mask or something so am intrigued to see what that is! The basket looks great and can't wait to see the whole thing finished.

DM: Thanks! Yeah the rope is made of wire. Found it in my modelling supplies and thought it'd work well.

Lord Dan: Yeah it turned out quite well. Glad I did it!

Karak Norn: Hmm... my own miniatures? That'd save a lot on superglue...

    Tcraigen: Awesome, thanks!

Jonahmaul: Just a beard actually! See below.

    Spjuth: Thank you!

Varnished the Arabyan Ogre today in between thunderstorms. Stupid weather.

Unfortunately in the rush I rubbed a little black paint and snow off the base. Didn't realise until I photographed it. Oh well. Pics!

Slightly bigger pictures than usual, so please excuse any mistakes! With that giant scimitar out at an angle, I need to make the photos a little larger to fit it all in!

The basket turned out pretty awesome I think. Fits the theme so much better than the barrel, so I'm glad I gave it a go. Also really happy with how the rope came out. Took a while so I'm glad with the result.

More images tomorrow, I've got some group shots to show once they're all edited up.

Thanks as always for all the kind words and encouragement!

Wow yet another up late brit dearly needing to post on here! Looks amazing fella! yet another classic Lew model.

I know how annoyed you feel when you mess up the base. amount of times I have done that especially now I am working on a smaller scale with my skaven. Plus now I am using snow and burnt grass flock so as you can imagine... Not easy to keep it in right place and correct amount!

    LOVE THAT ARABIAN OGRE!

    Great work as usual.

And let me say, I've always wanted to make a snotling pump wagon that resembles a sartosan pirate ship... but now... I don't want to as yours is going to put anything I do to shame!

I hate you sir... keep on that track
