Werewolves are an awesome choice in KoW, FW just released Werewolf rules, as monstrous infantry-sized models they'll make great stand-ins for GW's Crypt Horrors (or indeed a proxy for any specifically CC monstrous infantry, CH just being the obvious one).

So there's some good alternative uses.

Plactic werewolves? Do any of GWs games have werewolves in them? If not, then why in plastic? Wouldn't it make more sense financialy to do something else that would be guaranteed to sell?

The more interesting question for me has always been whether any of GW's games have analogues of a particular unit, not whether they have the unit itself. Since they're Large Infantry, they might work well as Minotaurs or as Crypt Horrors.

Dumb question/comment maybe, but is that bundle with the zombies, ghouls, and gravestones new? I don't remember seeing it on the store before. I'm guessing it's not given it has comments/reviews, but I'm not sure how I missed it.

That's really a pretty awesome deal...it avoids the skeletons (which I dislike) and is pretty cheap. Not bad at all...

They came up with an undead bundle with the Renedra Headstones quite a while ago, but I can't remember what the original bundle actually was. It seems to me that they have changed it up a couple of times since then though.

He mostly talks about the hardbound book detailing the 3 forces working against each other in mantica. good, evil, and nature. Nature being more neutral and whose primary concern is with the well being of the world. He talks about elementals and wild wizards and such being in this faction.

Is there a fantasy miniatures game out there that already uses Angels, Paladins, and Battle Nuns to make up a human army?

Serious question. Not trying to be smart. I'd just like to take a look at their miniatures. Paladins are easy, I know Reaper has the odd character mini of an angelic like creature, but not an armies worth. And Battle Nuns?!?

In fact - the whole "Crusaders" Warlord faction from Reaper would probably be good for Mantic Characters and counts-as. It has Paladins, Nuns and Angels.

That sounds like it could be a really cool army with fantastic miniatures if they can pull it off. I'm definitely interested!

When the subject of Mantic making Battle Nuns came up I thought it was a very odd and unusual concept. I had no idea that Reaper already had a whole faction of them. Thanks for the link.

Yeah, I was thinking of the Crusaders from Warlord. They actually have pretty cool background, by the way.
It's also the kind of thing that comes up alot in Magic as well with the white-alligned factions.

To repeat what I've said before, the goal should not be to be completely original - by definition, being original means nobody likes it (yet). The goal should be to identify the things that have the least support and the most popularity, and make good plastic kits that fill that gap.

That's not quite the same thing (I hope): Ex Illis is a fictionalised version of late medieval Christianity, with everything that entails. With luck, Mantic is going for something more like Bant from Magic: the Gathering: the ideal instead of the gritty fact, female angels instead of male angels, paladins instead of historical knights and a mixed force instead of being 100% male.
