Question about Black Library "Legion" Novel

I am just starting an AL army and I am planning on some conversions. I also just picked up Legion by Dan Abnett but I have a question. I thought I read somewhere that the marines that make up the AL all look the same? Is this true, I haven't read very far into Legion yet but as I am working on the models I would like to know.

I belive it stated that 1) they do tend to look more like alpharius then most legions do to their primarch. 2) this is also agmented by the alpha doing whatever possible to add to this affect.

They're very similar, yes. At one point I believe some Legionnaires are surprised at a non-Marine's ability to distinguish between them.

Note that "all look the same" applies to their facial features.

They will still have differences in their armour.

Its to confuse outsiders, the Alpha Legion love confusion. I saw a sig somewhere...."There is a 99 percent chance that whatever army you are facing is actually an AL army in disguise. There is the same chance this is true for your army as well"
