Thread: Project Emperor!

    Project Emperor!

    Hello!!

So, as I'm sure you all know theres a lot of people building really big titans at the moment. Because I've been so inspired by what I've seen, I decided to take the plundge and have a go myself.

This is a pic of my humble atempt so far....

    [IMG][/IMG]

I started yesterday, doing some hasty planning and began cutting. These shins are about 19cm in height. Overall I aiming for around 3- 3-1/2 feet tall. Certainly not the grandest one out there but I would like it to be able to fit on my table! still should be large enough to look quite intimidating on the battle field Eh!!

Im really looking foward to this project and will update when I can.

    Wooooo! Awesome, Mr. S&S!

Looks like a great start. Is it safe to infer that this big guy will be fighting for chaos?

    Thanks Eater!!

I'm not really sure yet to be honest. I haven't got any imperials yet, although I'm planning on getting a Krieg army later on in the year!, so probably would be better to send him over to the dark side.

Not sure which corner he'll be going in though? I've had my fill of Iron Warriors at the mo, so that only leaves my small band of tainted marines.

    I'll have a think...

So, after a bit more work I've ended up with a couple of plant pots!!

    [IMG][/IMG]

    [IMG][/IMG]

Im being picky but the left leg has warped slightly and doesn't sit flat, it rocks a bit, so a little anoyed but i could always mount it on a base.

Notice the shaft in the top, will use that to mount the thighs.

    Re: Project Emperor!

    So,
After a lot of thinking I've come up with this prototype.......

    [IMG][/IMG]

    [IMG][/IMG]

    I like the nostrils!!

    [IMG][/IMG]

The nose doubles as a fire point. The other two fire points will be incorperated into the ears.....

Can you tell which god this is going to bat for???

I want to start this by saying that I think the titan is awesome...but all I think of when I see the current leg prototype is a certain infamous website (starts with goat--). I'm sure that will go away once you've progressed further on it.

    Re: Project Emperor!

So the recently named 'Goat emperor' prototype is moving along slowly.
    Heres what I've done:-

    [IMG][/IMG]

    [IMG][/IMG]

I need to make a couple of changes. The feet are a bit lost so will add a couple more steps and the front fire point/nose is huge, so might take the front wall down a bit and might a a couple more fangs/spikes.

The points of the ears look like bat mans so need to be fatter and I want a large horn sprouting out of the other eye socket to makeit more nurgley

Seriously mate, dump the hands. It's just wrong...
Also, I think daemons will fit better that marines adorning the plates.

    Looking good though mate.

I've seen some really nice daemon conversions using Wood Elf Dryads, could be worth looking at perhaps?

    Re: Project Emperor!

So I've been off the building for a while due to some awesome kreig models I have purchased but I have do a little work on the left eye and on the nose..

    [IMG][/IMG]
Incase your not sure, thats' suposed to be a horn growing out of the left eye.

I know Freebooter you dont like the hands and mouth idea but I think it looks quite nurgly so I'm gonna go with it for now and see how it turns out when its painted. Im gonna paint each piece as it's finished to keep me intrested!

I want this to double up as a temple so that it can be used when I'm not playing apoc. The thighs will slot into the holes in the top of the shin/temple.

I don't know, I like the Idea, but to me that doesn't look nurgle. Don't know why, I think its just because I don't like the face, oh well, I am Interested in how this progresses.

    Re: Project Emperor!

    Hello folks!

I have been away from this project for a while now but have since sparked new intrest in it again.

Construction has started again, all be it at a slow pace, he's what's been happening....

    [IMG][/IMG]

    [IMG][/IMG]

At the mo it looks a bit out of proportion, the legs are a little longer than I would have liked and the hip axle things are a bit big, but I'm hoping when the grion is on it should look right.

All the pieces are detachable to make easier storage. I will be adding detail a bit later, just want to crack on with the frame first. The thighs need building up as well with a few pistons and pipes etc.

Its starting to look somthing like a titan, finaly!
