My Gaming club has started FoF, we love it. Painted over 40 Taliban so far and have made an order for terrain and some more. Looking forward to Enduring Freedom then I shall be considering Tomorrows War.

"Enduring Freedom" is released today. Pre-orders should have arrived already or will within the next days. Can't wait to get my own printed copy. The mission around Takur Ghar and "Robert's Ridge" seems to be very popular, as I have seen the first AARs for that one.
Awsome Chris =o]
I saw the posts about Elhiem, good for AAG and Elhiem. They make beautiful figgies, especially their 20mm USMC stuff
I got my rule book in the mail a few days ago and I must say, this looks freaking amazing. Everyone at AAG should be proud of the production quailty, and the gamimg quality. This just looks like more fun every time I read it.
Now I just have to rope a few people into playing it with me..![]()
Because I got that question over and over again:
Tomorrow's War (that is delayed by one month for release) does actually use the core mechanics of Force On Force (so the games are easy to pick up and understand if you already played one of them, before going to play the other set of rules).
However, to make TW more Sci-Fi, it's even bigger than FoF. The "Extras" we've thrown in are 40+ fully coloured pages more than FoF, so yes - it's worth the purchase.
BTW, Ambush Alley Games and Osprey have been to "historicon" in the US a few days back. Here are some pics of the Demo-Table they had set up there:

FoF has 224 fully coloured pages. TW will have more than that to put all the Sci-Fi stuff in (260 fully coloured).
I tend to say, "yes" - it will be amazing. Review:

CWGH will be an 138 pages supplement (again, fully coloured). You'll love it.

It seems that with a dedicated publisher like Osprey, you can really pull of a good publication, since they can aford the cost and live over a bust. I hope products like this (and KoW for that matter) "rough up" the community. With Tomorrow's War and Warpath this year is unique, as two SciFi alternatives become available.

We currently run at a rate of 4-5 releases a year. And that's only those that are for everyone. Don't forget that additional pdf mission packs with campaigns are released throughout the year for all SOG members of our community. The boss and developers are at conventions, they produce a small newsletter (FRAGO), most of us have a day job and family, too! Even Shawn, Robby and Peggy - and they own AAG - still have a day job to attend. Most of the authors like Leigh Neville also are busy in writing more books for Osprey (Leigh for example has "Special Forces Vehicles" coming in September via Osprey) that aren't directly AAG products. Bear with us, there is a lot of more stuff coming. TW will get its supplements as well of course. One is in the making at this moment.

The missions published in the FRAGO magazin are depending on who wrote them. They could be in all sorts of settings.
The SOG sets are all modern (Iraq for the most part), but they are generic - those missions could be played anywhere at any time setting.
Excellent!

WOW, I just got a new respect for them all. The look of the main FoF is beyond excellent, and this is just there part time job? Honestly I thought it was a full time thing.
I can't wait for more setting books and TW to come out. Everything on the horizion looks interesting and I can't wait to give them a go.
Again thanks for the info. =o]
Yes, it is part time. Shawn stated at the moderator's forum that he recently had to pull up to 14 hours a day at the day job and still he manages to send drafts to Osprey, lead the developer team, tie together additional stuff like tournament rules (future project of AAG) etc and takes care of his little family.
All at AAG are putting an enormous effort into the books and publications. Most do that after work/their weekends. We are busy running demos (look out for the so-called "pointmen" who are official demo teams), we have youtube vids going online (Q&A), the authors give interviews to gaming mags and yet somehow we even manage to answer questions on various forums (of which I also have to moderate two) about our products. Hey, we even give away scenarios to gaming mags - just like Piers did for "Wargames Illustrated".
How many companies do you know, where the boss himself or the authors are directly answering your emails or questions? Shawn always tells us that he thinks its important, that people know the guys behind the books and rules.
