Basher - taking the photos outside is never going to happen. Too many pics to take and not enough sunshine when I'm actually at home. I am thinking about a lightbox setup at some point. And yes I do use macro.

Right my plan to clear my desk continues.

Strakhov is finally done, marking the last Khador caster I had to paint. The Vlads snuck to the finish line ahead of him.




Just need to get Assault kommandoes and flamethrowers to go with him. I don't seem to have taken a shot of Epic Doomshaper who also got finished. Picture of him probably tomorrow.


Still working on the Fane Knight and started on his mounted version as well.

Next up to be primed is this selection of units

From the right Winter Guard rifle corps (10), Steelhead Halberdiers (10) and Forge Guard (6).

Great start to your plog so far Keravin. I particularly llike the colour scheme on Beast 09. The black and dark red, make him look very forboding.

Nice work on the Retribuition chaps as well, the riflemen are looking rather good.

The boyz - thanks. Beast is when I think I cracked how I wanted the colour scheme to be now hence why I'm going back and slowly repainting the other jacks.

Plan to finish stuff on the table is working. More is cleared.


Widowmaker marksman is now done. Might even get to try him this weekend.



The delayed picture of Epic Doomshaper. Again someone who has been hanging around on the board for a while, but glad he's done. Just leaves Epic Madrak at the moment that I don't have painted for my troll warlocks.

And the Steelheads are started. Doing these metallic like my other unit of Halberdiers, but the Riflemen will be done in a similar scheme to Stannis and the cavalry.




Trying to work on getting brighter photos. Don't think my backdrop is helping so need to try and find something brighter.

Kukkelukke - thanks. Boats are probably waiting me sorting out my pirate board first though. Plus I want to get the Freebooter stuff painted up.


Finished up the second mage hunter assassin. Hoping to have the battle mages done shortly.

Well 3 games of Warmachine today and 3 losses - 2 close and 1 I can't claim was close.

It means I'm going to sort out a few more jacks for my Khadorians and definitely getting another Phoenix for my Retribution.

Finally finished the first unit of Battle Mages

Saw them in action today and I think I may get a second unit to run with Rahn. I didn't use them to the best of their abilities, but they still did pretty well.


Also finished were my second unit of Forge Guard. These guys have been doing fantastically well for me lately and today managed to kill 2 jacks including Beast 09.

Also finished this week was the second Basher.

Should have a shot of my Khadorian and Rhulic armies up soon.


And nearly getting there with the steelheads. I'm planning on finishing them off tomorrow.

Just in time for me to get the Rifles.


Rifle Corps are coming along. Get these done then the other 4 and the last WG I have outstanding.

I would maybe try a blue what over the metal (very watered down and only in the cracks), you could try making a light box.

I do blue metals on shinier armours. These guys are always on the move so they get the grubby armour. Cygnar get the nice shiny stuff.

There is rust. The photo isn't showing all the armour work because it was a shot of the whole unit.

Well I've been away busy helping run the UK Warmachine Masters and got some new toys which I've stuck together to start priming.

For a change I seem to have actually gotten things for my main armies rather than random cool bits.


Assault kommandoes and flame throwers. The plan is to get another Flame thrower so I can do the max attachment for a unit.


A Manhunter variant to allow me to do Yuri and 2 manhunters as a flanking unit


And the Kayazy underboss which is such a nice characterful figure.


For the trolls I have the new toys. Bomber which I'm in the middle of building and Runebearer.

The Runebearer is a great model, but I do want to keep calling him the waiter. Plan with the trolls is I will be doing a mass at once to allow me to work on the skin at the same time. I have another unit of Whelps and a Kriel Warriors unit with Caber Thrower to also do to clear out all the trolls that are outstanding.

Then for the Mercs

Rhulic stuff to the left. New artillery, Highshield Unit attachment and two guys to bring a unit up to full.


Then the man they call Drake McBain.


Very blurry shot of the new Mariner for my Bart list. Gives me 2 and a Mule.


And finally Steelhead Riflemen who I think may get blitzed shortly. Fantastic figures (especially after just putting Halberdiers together. Off to get all this lot primed and painting can commence.

Been getting on with stuff. First off building my Bomber.



Got him ready to be primed. Once I've cleared a bit of space on the desk I'm looking at doing a mass of trolls.


Pinned the little pygmy with the lighter on his back. Means much more easily transportable.

Part of the mass of trolls are some more whelps. To differentiate them a bit from the last ones I've posed them a bit.


So painting as well.

The Underboss joins the Assassins.


The Manhunter/ress

Going to work on the faces of the Manhunter and the underboss as they are great. Trying to crack skin and show a bit more character in the faces.

Next up the man, the legend - MCBAIN!!!!


Since this photo he's got a new base and a lit cigar. Been figuring out a list to go with him as well.
