Very nice natural pale scheme there. I really like the weathered bone effect on the carapace. What are you planning next?
My random painting log- 3/3/2013 now painting winter VC- black knights.

owwwwwwww love the very natural pale scheme. i that one of the spore drop pod things in the background?
It looks like a really nice scheme actually, very close to how I would imagine nid carapace to actually look.

Yep, they're available on eBay from time to time made by this guy in Denmark:

Thanks for the comments, guys! The photos are a bit washed out, so the shading of the wash gets lost in these images.

You need to sculpt one of them holding a heart in their hand.
I really like the fat tail of your Tervigon. Reminds me of an earwig.

Well, life got in the way, but here's the Big Daddy and one of his posse. (Still need a few touch ups here and there, static grass and then some 'Ard Coat on the hard chitin.)
Monster props to my virtual home-skillet, and conversion master Pekel (aka Thirsty Daddy). The Tervigon and Swarmlord are his creations.
When I'm done paintin' them magnetized extra bits and bobs, I'll post photos with Swarmy converted into a Hive Tyrant.

Great scheme. The carapace looks ace.
Beautiful looking army, I really enjoy the natural earthy tones.
Great colour scheme, absolutly love them.
Oh, sheesh! I really love those conversions of yours! What's next, I wonder..
And I second that fat tail, it really suits the beast
Cheers,

How about checking out this random cavalcade?
I'm crazy and I'm Finnish. Don't blame me, it's the polar bears!
It's been a while. Work has been demanding these last 2 months. But I've finally moved a few more pieces to completion. And had the nerve to commission Pekel for more, despite backlogs of the small critters, not to mention revamping my HE for 8th and several unfinished WotR armies.
DISCLAIMER: I still have not gotten the hang of my point and shoot camera so you'll see differing levels of color saturation here. I need my wife to sort this out.

Hard to believe it's been almost a year since I last posted in my own plog. Real life has it's demands.
Once again I want to give a shout out to Pekel for these awesome conversions.
Apologies for the crap-tastic photos. I'll try to redo them if I can muster the energy.
