    Kali-Maaaaaa! Kali-Maaaaaa! Kali-Ma, Shanti de!

As a student of Hindi, I was drawn to this blog like a moth to flame. Good Job, you got a long-time lurker once-a-poster to comment once again. Great painting!

You study Hindi? That's cool. Have you ever read M.A.R. Barker's fantasy/science fiction work? We was a professor of Hindi and Urdu who wrote science-fantasy set in a Southwest Asian themed world. I enjoyed it immensely.

Thank you for the kind comments!

Well, well, well. It's been about a year since I've posted anything here. I lost my painting mojo last September and just got it back a few weeks ago, thanks in large part to another conversion project with Pekel. As he was working on some Mycetic Spore Pods for me, I g0t inspired to finally take the clever Harpy conversion he was kind enough to sell me and send it back to the digestion pool to be transformed into my hive fleet markings. (Still need to do some highlights on the black, touchups here and there, finish the base.)

So here she is, the Harpy:

I have a second Pekel Tervigon and a new GW Tyrannofex in the works, but they're on hold until I finally, finally finish my buddy's Thunderwolf Cav and 2 Landspeeders. Feels good to be back in the paint groove! <Trying not to think of those 45 Termagants and 18 Gargoyles>

Huge thanks again to Pekel! He's great to work with and highly dependable. I highly endorse him.

Thanks for the kind words, and it's great to see the Harpy all done up! Just did the first of my own personal paint work in a long time, and you're right - it does feel good. Hope you keep riding that wave and get a bunch more done. Any plans for games with the army?

The praise is well-deserved. And congratulations on your promotion to "Chapter Master". I'm sure you'll be adding that to your resume. Shame Eternity of War shut down, because there would be no end of mockery there. :-\ <Smith Emoticon>

As for gaming with this army, I'd answer it this way...

"Dear Warseer, I never thought it would happen to me. My die-hard WFB tournament gaming group came back from Adepticon talking about starting 40K armies just to join their "Fun Tournament" next year. Fun Tournament = Scores for paint, sportsmanship and composition but not battle. This from a group that has nothing but scorn and mockery for 40K - and pretty much any system outside WFB. Will wonders never cease."

So, the shorter answer is: Yes, very soon.

Dunno if you check here often, but any more updates? Hopefully that '40k fun tournament' worked out!
