I decided to restart the log hopefully with less clutter, the plan is to try and build and paint a complete blood Ravens company by the end of the of the year, hopefully i wont fall flat on my face.

have fun re-doing the emblems on your guys but besides that what will be painted next?

and to get that whole company done just sing that "DONT STOP, BELIEVING!" song to yourself...i am trying to do that now to paint some more yellow marines but other things are distracting me.

Yeah its alot easier than restoring the old one, I think next i will either finish landraider or finish scout squad, but cheers mate

I still have some work on the symbol to do however they are looking alot better than they did, i also need to tidy up the black parts of the shoulder pads and im thinking i might paint the knee pads black (or maybe just one), also please note you may need to clear you cache as i just updated this picture.

the touched up BR emblems look great! i need to get better at free hand to do some emblems myself.

and storing and transport for such a massive force will be something that will require a remodeled suitcase no doubt.

those are also some nice, old school minis. definitely want to see them painted!

Cheers dude, its just round the tail im not really happy with (well on a few anyways), im also still tweaking the chaptor banner as something just didnt sit right, if it still dosnt look right then its going to be a paper job.

I dread to think about making the suitcase lol

Iloser actually converted the tech marine for me as part of a trade, it still needs some tweaking but he did a good job, i decided when i finish the tactical squad i will paint the old school Chaplain so its like a reward.

Last model im painting today, i think its a improved alot, my plan for tomorrow is to repaint the rest of the assault on black reach tactical marines, i still have a little more, the green on the hand, touching up the highlights on the powerfist and the leather.

I decided i would change the company markings, this is going to be on the knee pad now rather than over the squad marking, not strictly codex but i think it looks cool.

Redone my Black reach tactical marines, all i really need do is tweak the badges sligtly and the metal, might do that tonight when i get home from my last call if not i will do that tomorrow. Now i just have to decide what the plan of action is tomorrow, my chaplain or my my Black reach dreadnought.

As my for my banner bearers i really think im just going to do a new banner using paper, i may well draw that out tomorrow in pencil, post it on here and see what people think needs tweaking.

Also as i cant be bothered to do two logs i cant really decide what to do next with these banners, any suggestions?

Heres a update on the Chaplain, still abit to do however i should be able to get this guy finished when i next have a break.



Interesting find on forgeworld, some new Raven Guard stuff, a captain with a thunderhammer and some marine upgrades, i think these could be easily adapted to blood Raven use.

Im thinking Space marine captain with thunderhammer and a new jump pack for my chaplain, the venerable dreadnought i think is another nice conversion.

sweet! i love chaplains, the whole reason whe i started to like SM in the first place!

the only thing i would point out is the lone blood drop on the left knee. it kind of screams "BA" an if nobody checks out his shoulder pads they could make that mistake. maybe paint that kneepad the same color as the shoulder pads an paint raven wings next to the drops. it will look similar to the BA marking but on a beige background it would let you know its not. or paint it purple or some other color to make it a gem ornament on his armor.

also, those RG from FW do look great. i especially like the thunderhammer, jump pack capt.

Hmm, yeah i could certainly do that, i was thinking about company markings but once i finish my terminator up i will go and do that, talking of terminators..



Still very early wip however but im very happy with how the armour has turned out, thoughts?

Updated the chaplain now, looks alot better
