Cheers dude, just to give you a idea of my painting speed, they changes i did to this guy took me just over a hour (i was going to edit my last post but as you already responded i will just slip it in here).
Still need to tweak the helmet abit, paint the lights/sensors, do some of bone and paint the raven symbol (i love how easy the hulk termies turn into Ravens), while these are great looking models some of moulding isnt that great like on the chest piece and the powerfistsIf i did them over again i would just chop off the arms, use some forge world terminatous symbols and what not.
Anyways, now i need to decide what to get painted up next, im thinking i might the Scouts all done and out of the way.
Oh heres a chaos troll im working on, still very WIP

Great stuff Logan, your space hulk model looks great, in fact I am painting some space hulk terminators right now, how did you paint the red armour and the helmet?![]()
Cheers mate!
Armour - you can base it either black or white, just depends how dark you want the model, paint armour red gore, heavily watered down chaos black, paint all raised areas read gore again, highlight by adding sunburst yellow to redgore.
Helmet - base color is snakebite leather, then paint the raised areas a mix of snakebite leather and skullwhite, you want a color that is a little more brown that skullwhite, highlight by adding skullwhite to the mix.
I dont really use alot of bleached bone when paint, only on he shoulder pads and chest wings (but pretty much just because im lazy).
I will finish this guy off tonight when i finish work, should only take me about a hour then i might do some scouts or have a snooze lol
i tried a program called gimped, better?
*edit* if some images are missing then refresh i just deleted them from my photobucket and added them after i gimped them

I was using the above and was seeing if it actually made a difference to how the pictures looked on other peoples screens, obviously not, terminator is bascially finished now, just have to do the skulls and finish the stealer off.
Try using two lamps instead of one when taking your photographs. The GIMP (always giggle at that) software is a big bonus when enhancing photographs, but you need more light on your models in the first place.
I suffer exactly the same dilemma taking photo's of my own models. I'm going to make a light box (you can buy them from eBay), or just make a 'box' from a white sheet. The more light - the better your pictures will look.
Painting is good, however it looks like your captain's cloak needs some more highlighting (again, may just be down to the photograph's, as I've received the same crit on my blog).
All the best, and keep up the good work. You should post up a group pic of your army so far.

I might try and get my hands on a lamp like that rather, i will certainly have ago at making a light box (i have some wood sitting abouy anyways).
On the captain i have never been happy with the cloak actually so i will certainly have ago at that again (after i paint some WoC goodness
Army shoot perhaps later today!
I tried making a light box (it isnt that great lol), used two lamps (used them with the lampshades on this time but angled, and the gimped it, any better?

you could go to a butchers shop or the meat dept. of a grocery store for some blood...but that is too extreme i think and a copy of that remembrancer from Fulgrim haha. *this also makes me think of one GW painter who used human hair to make a blood drip thing on his harry the Hammer mini.
GW has a thing under the CSM articles for doing extra details including gore. its something like white elmers glue, sand, and red paints. mix them up with a brush and apply. it looks ace! and im sure you can change the red paint for xeno blood.
Well did come across something once that looked really good but sadly i didnt bookmark it, wish i had, well i know i could go to the butchers hop and all but i have a habbit of sticking my brush in my mouth, havent turned blood angel yet mate
I will certainly have a look on the GW site
OK i have retaken some pictures using a camera, i think they are alot better (well apart for the captains face seemed to blur but these are test run pictures anyways)
