Duncan and I Tied Jett to a pole earlier, he took a round to the gut a few hours ago, and couldn’t Stand, He begged us for the ability to let him die standing. I think the Major’s finally gotten through to someone.

Re: Forensic Zombie's Imperial Guard Thread

Theres a Four picture limit isnt there?

And Heres a Mock up of the 'Grubs' or the XIV Death Corsairs (Still Not sure if that's the name im happy with.)

Essentially they are a Nurgle Themed Renegade Guard list.

Basically the Draconis Heavy Shock are at war with the XIV on a Hive world, and im building and basing both are armies to be fighting each other.

    Thoughts?

You know what i've always wanted to do?

Just start posting pictures in someone else's project log, completely take it over and just start treating it like my own. >_< Shan't do that T-Bone.

Are those Pig Iron heads? Is this guard army 4 and 5 or 5 and 6? It's hard to keep up with you.

I think for the zombies you should remove either the badass name or the number, having both gives it personality (Death Corsairs) and gives it a regimented feel (XIV, which i support if it's like a "remnants of... or something) , which may not be the best idea with zombies

That last seargent, standing on the rock. He's badass. So badass.

Re: Forensic Zombie's Imperial Guard Thread

Yeah Pig Iron Heads indeed, I like em. Was browsing through various websites looking for different heads and styles awhile ago And saw those System Trooper heads. Didnt Even Think twice, Very happy with how they look.

Guard Regiment 4 and 5, being the Draconis and the Nurgle dudes. 11,500pts of Guard and climbing. Ive written the Draconis List to 2000pts For a Tournament in November called Rebelcon. If youve got time off You should come to it, You can crash on my couch Lolz. The List itself goes upto 3500pts though so I can use it in Apoc, as to with the Nurgle.

Excellent Point with the Name. Like I said, I was toying with it. Still sticking with 'Grubs' as a Guard Slang term though.

He's not even a Sargeant, (Ill rant another time, But Why did you GW, Take away our Sargeant Rifle Options? Sigh.) But yeah, He's Deffinetly my Favourite aswell.

Good To see You Here Though B-Rad. Throw some Pics Up, Maybe they'll inspire me, or start your own damn thread!

    **Update**

Currently Working on another Guard Squad and my Marbo connversion, He's Drawing alot of inspiration from a certain 3rd Echelon Specialist, Should Have some Pics of him this Afternoon.

Still no Idea on what Colour Scheme though. Sigh.

F-Zed Industries Is proud to present Marbo, Or Specialist Flinn.

Just noticed in the second pic, there ares still mold lines on the Grubs head will have to deal with that.

He will painted In various Tones of black to represent the suit That Sam Fisher of Splinter Cell Fame wore, and Off course the Tri goggles.

This army is my first real experience with GS other than plugging the odd hole here and there, Not to mention My first outing with the awesomeness that is Plasticard.

Was wondering when someone would use that particular Pig Iron head type, looks like a good start. Liking your Major and Marbo!

I like AussieSock's suggestion of rebranding the zombies the Death Corsairs or simply The 14th, either one makes 'em a bit more ominous. You'll need more flamethrowers...

The pictures are a tad overwhelming right now, would you be able to resize them a little?

oh btw, Flaming Zombies simply present the added danger of smoke inhalation, please refrain from burning the zombies.

    OMG WAITING ON GRUB SENTINELS.

Would start posting pictures around Warseer but that'd just turn into a massive circlejerk.

And i have no camera that i can A) Operate B) Upload with.

    Epic Marbo is epic.

How about the "Gruesomely Repulsive Uber Soldats?" or G.R.Ub.S. For short?

Re: Forensic Zombie's Imperial Guard Thread

Wow, been A long time without Updates I can tell you...

Life eh, Gets in the way off more important things, Like building Guardsmen

I finally managed to Get a Color Scheme Im Pseudo-Happy with, Theres always room from improvement.

I also managed to write up a List for the First Guard Army, You can find that here; http://www.warseer.com/forums/showth...90#post5177090, Ive got 135pts give or take to play with so Jump over there and voice your opinions.

Spouse Ill start with this Guy

Not his best angle I reckon, And the Decaying Queensland Weather certainly isnt helping me take any good photos...

These two are my first real go at painting eyes, the second trooper has a lazy eye. For now. Ill have another crack at it in some better light.
....... Or he appears wounded enough to justify A Concussion?

    My Company Command Squad

I had a go at some directional Lighting (Very, Very basic stuff mind you) and I was quite happy with how they turned out, not so much how it looks in the photo though... Again I blame the weather.

Theres IS a 4 picture limit right, Im not Imagining that am I?

    The Company Commander; Captain Carseldine

During the Siege of Forge World Arexis VII, The Draconis Shock Troopers found themselves along with Other Imperial Guard Forces and Mechanicus Skittari defending one of the most valuable Forge Worlds in the Segmentum Tempestus. At the very apex if the conflict, At which Scholars have dubbed the Turning point of the Siege, the Draconis 121st Heavy Shock were charged with holding a vital Anti-Orbit cannon, The very Cannon that had stalled Tyranid Rienforcements from reaching planetside. The Tyranids somehow sensed this and mounted never ceasing attacks against it. Every Time the 121st hurled them back, but not without significant Cost.
On the 82nd day of the Siege, a Hive Tyrant 'Primaris' was Sighted closing in on the Cannon, And once more mortal combat ensured.
Carseldine was wounded no more than four times, The fourth was a bio acid attack which saw the Valient Captain Lose his lower Jaw, nose and Left Eye. Undetered, Carseldine and his Troops held the ever Diminishing Line until the Signal was Given. A Mechanised Platoon, Comprised of battle Hardened Combat vaterans Straight from the eye itself, Crashed through an abandoned Storehouse, Straight into the midst of the Xeno Foe, To this day no one man can claim the Kill of the the 'Primaris' but once it fell, The Tyranid Assault faltered. Seizing the initiative, Carseldine and his troops Fell Upon the Bewildered Xenos with all the Force of the Emperor Himelf and drove the beasts Back a good Nine Kilometers. Only then Did Carseldine Recieve Medical Treatment.
Three Days later the Astartes of the Howling Griffons entered the System and Purged the Tyranid Threat.
For his Valor in the Siege, the Mechanicus Presented the Captain with the 'Mask of Deliverance', A Trophey that Carseldine has worn ever since."

There are some pretty nice conversions in here. I love the running pose of the commissar at the top. the shotguns and other weapon conversions are cool too. Pot calling kettle here but I'd love to see some more paint!

I really do like the Cyclone Pattern SMG's, how did you do the drum magazines?
And for your painting, may I suggest washing the cloth a dark brown, or maybe highlighting it with some white? It would just add some well needed depth =)

@Brother Alexos - Cheers! Thats the plan, To have all the Sargeants, Characters and Officers on some sort of scenic/diorama style base.

@Hadriel Caine - Thanks, he's not even finished yet, the luckless Sod has been on his 'temporary' base since early May.... But Ive finally got the parts I need to finish him off....
Yeah I know, Hoping to get some more painting done during the week.

@icecream boy - The Cyclones, Are simple enough, the Drums are just those Round 'nubs' on the plastic sprues, Filed on to produce a flat surface on one of the edges and Glued on to the lasgun.
A Witch Hunter player, had used the idea at a tournament I went to a few years back for his custom Inquisitorial storm troopers. I remembered it, and the best form of flattery is imitation....

Now this is what I need folks! Painting advice
A Wash may be the best solution, as my painting skills are mediocre at best (Though I am proud to say, improving with each stroke), any recommendations?
The fatigues themselves started with a Chaos black undercoat, A watered down layer of Khermi Brown, Devlin Mud wash and a light drybrush of Dheneb Stone.
But I might give the extra highlight of white a crack. See whether or not I can pull it off.

@Aiwass - Been along time since Ive sat down to watch Platoon, Might Hire it again to watch while I paint
    Marbo You say?

Sigh, I cant for the Life of me paint black. Ever. Any tips to achieving Black?
