Icecream Boys Nurgle Orks and other interesting stuff

Hey, this will basically be the dumping ground for all my general modeling exploits. You can expect to see a lot of Nurgle Orks, some LoTR models, as well as a few random 40k figures and whatever I happen to paint up. To start you off here's a link to my Imperial Guard modeling thread, The 29th Nortesians.

For about the last year and a bit, I have been building a Nurgle Ork force which I may also refer to as Plague Orks. Although I don't game, I would proxy them into a Lost and the Damned army, as this is probably the best way to describe them. Below is a pic of a rather un-changed Plague ork, with only early signs of infection, in the form of skin infection.

So that's just a taste of what to expect, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on how this particular models looks, or any other comments or whatever questions you may have.

Greetings, just a quick post top let you know I'm about to strip an old leman russ back so I can change its camo scheme. Here's a pic to see what it's like beforehand, I should have new pics up later =)

Love the look of that Nurgle Burna Boy. Does that face mask come in the normal box, or is it from somewhere else?

Cheers, as far as I know, it's from the normal box (I'm not sure which one, given all the new Ork stuff released recently.) I got a massive box of 4th ed Orks from my Aunts friend who gave the game up, and there was stuff everywhere, so I cannot tell you exactly where its from unfortunately.
And the spike was added from and old Ork biker, so it kinda looks like a German Pickelhaube.

I'm not sure whether the concept is particularly original, I have seen it done a couple of other times before. Here's a whole bunch of old photos I dug out of the deepest parts of my pc, they are a whole bunch of conversions I did when I first got the models about a year and a half ago.

Not bad. The guy in the middle of the first pic (all three actually) reminds me of the artwork that was in the SoB codex.

Oh, just noticed this. SAW the Ork, and was like those bumps are disgusting. WAIT.... Its Nurgle ORKS COOL!
