The two conversions look really really cool! The shokk attack gun might as well be a meatgrinder for captured Space Marines, it's brilliant!

Yeye, I'm gonna paint more soon (tm). Like usual I've got long stretches of being lazy followed by frantic bouts of activity.

Some of the cooler kids in Holland are organising a tourney. Now, I am sort of "tournament retired" but I want to show my support to them . I chose to bring the Orks but of course I need at least a single new unit to bring. I stuck together ten of my Loota's. I don't like the regular ones so made Orkses with something that looks like a twin-linked big shoota or something. I'm still wondering if they need backpacks but I probably just need to paint them RIGHT NOW (I'll just paint some French Dystopian Wars stuff first :P).

Shokk Attack Gun is still in the primer so no piccies yet. On the shelf are 10 Tankbusta's, a Deff Dread and the t10 Loota's. In bits, being stuck together are (simple) Flashgits with Flashy type energy beam weapon thingies (note to self, need to steal two more sentinel multilasers from friends). Apparently energy weaps are all the rage in my warband if you have the teef to spare (or nick it from smaller Orks).

No clue what the tournament army will be. I think it's 800 pts but the rules aren't made yet hehe. Ill probably just go with a sea of green with a couple of kans added for that dakka feel.

The Imperial Guard army is nearly tournament ready so a wee lil departure into the 400pt Ork Kampaign army is warranted I feel. It's been so long however that I forgot how I painted them! So here I was, reading my own thread for clues but I didn't jot down how I did it :P

Careful study of the real life models makes me think I used Knarloc Green and simply highlighted by adding Skull White. We'll see hehe.

will be a real pain if you used GW old paints, i am half way through my army and the new paints are nowhere near the ones i used for the start of the army, trawling around to find any of the old ones on ebay

A little update of the progress on my Ork Jet. I painted it Tin Bitz first, then Drybrushed with Boltgun Metal and stippled Iyanden Darksun on top

A work in progress of my current squad I am painting. Lootas are one of the main inspirations for the army. When I experienced the awesomeness that are Flash Gits in Dawn of War I knew Orks with big guns were for me. Unfortunately the current plastic Lootas are the single plastic kit for Orks I do not like (I am a bit weird, I love all Ork plastics but hate the metals. Notable exceptions are Loota's, Ghazkull and Meganobs :P). So I have made my own. Just Orks with big big guns that make lotsa noise ! There are ten of these in the first squad. My intention for Elites are to have 2x 10 Lootas and 1x 10 Tankbustas (also plastic of course ).

These need a bit of detailing, some clean up and of course checker patterns. After that it's shading and bases.

Pic was made with my phone at my parents house since that's where I'm painting right now. Surprised how well that phone does, really.
