Space Wolves: Long trek to fenris

I have decided to post my progress on painting and expanding my Space Wolves army.
Right now the army consists of

    1 Shadowsword/Stormlord Baneblade
    1 Land raider redeemer
    1 Predator
    1 Whirlwind
    1 Razorback
    2 Vindicators
    3 Rhinos
    1 Drop pod
    4 dreadnoughts
    2 TWC
    10 Wolves
17 long fangs (2 pack leaders)
17 terminators (5 new SW, 10 AoBR, 1 custom lone wolf)
32 marines (mix of grey hunters, blood claws and wolf guard)
    20 AoBR marines
    2 scouts (old school ones)
    5 skyclaws
    2 rune priests
    1 tech priest
All of the special characters (1 of the dreads is the old Bjorn model)
I have 1 started box to assemble, there will be 10 custom shirtless blood claws, 8 more grey hunters/wolf guard, 5 scouts and another drop pod.

Let me start by saying that marine painting is not my strong point. I found a style I am ok with and like how it looks. I am slowly learning how to get better at it. Painting nurgle is where I feel I flourish, but there is already a log for my poop daemons... tee hee.
I felt like posting a project log because I have started to do some more conversions on my wolves and wanted not only input on the army as a whole, but the conversions as well.

I was reading a "we love space wolves post" and it gave the the thought of putting brawlers in my army. Space wolves who take their shirt off, throw down their bolters and run into battle. So I started to make them.
Using the torso and arms of the gor in WHFB, but the head and legs of SW, as well as a dwarf bit here and there. I managed to get it looking good. I plan to use them as blood claws. I need to figure out how to give one a power fist... I am thinking of giving him a dreadnought CC wep.

I have been getting a little bit of work in, however due to some air brush problems I have not done much painting.
Here is one of my Thunderwolf cavalry. I was having so much fun making shirtless marines I decided to do a TWC one!

nice idea, but might I suggest sculpting a belt? their waist looks kindof tiny now...

I like the idea, especially the space wolf with the beer-stein!
Would be cool if there were any wulfen parts around to add to make them more feral.
    By the way--
which models did you use for the thunder wolves?
Yours look better that the resin ones I saw the other day.

I have been thinking about how to do a belt and playing around with green stuff. There really needs to be something covering the gap. I originally had them as my take on blood claws. Then I started using them as MotW. They have a bit too much hair

I got my wolves off of ebay. Someone in russia makes them. They are usually under the name, "Space wolf monstrous riding wolf thunder" I did not see any of them up right now though. Ill post the sellers name when I get off of work.

Re: Space Wolves: Long trek to fenris

Ok, so I got my air brush working and started painting again.
Since making this thread, I gave away my AoBR marines, then bought another SW starter box to replace them.
I made this plog right before I started painting my daemons again, SW were lost in the dust. So here are some of the new models I am working on.

Custom wolf lord in TDA I found on ebay, loved the armor so I picked it up.

    Grimnar

    2 rune priests.

All of these are still WIP, but I would love some CC on them!
