Wishing, what bitz did you use to make the Khorne sorcerer? It's a sweet model and I have been hunting for a set of legs like that.

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

See the post just above. It's the body from the chaos sorcerer from heroquest.

Freshly painted model this time, the previously promised Khorne standard bearer.
I had a lot of trouble with the banner itself, because I was going to paint it like it was just crudely drawn in blood, but it just looked like a smudge. So I ended up going with a somewhat cleaner design which I think looks ok, but kinda doesn't follow the aesthetic of the rest of the model.

Hahahahaha, I use my heroquest models weekly for D&D, I should've recognized that instantly.

These are amazing, the painting is really good, and the conversions are superb!
Thanks choloatesnakes!
No new finished models today, but here are a couple of WIP shots of things I am working on. The daemon walker has changed from tzeentch to khorne because it didn't look good in blue, and I could use some ideas for what to do with the scarecrow masks on the chaos warriors - they look a bit lacking I feel.

beautiful paintjobs and clever conversions. The dark, realistic job makes the tzeentchian stuff look awsome.
I love the heroquest conversion and recognised that fella straight away. One question though - how is he in terms of scale? The same, too big or too small?
Thanks for the kind comments Setesh! As far as I can tell, the sorcerer is quite tall, but otherwise looks perfectly in scale with the rest of the models in the army.

This gold tone is just great, just say what are those blue guys in your last post supposed to be? Thousand Sons or maybe daemons?
By Chains and GlassNOTHING IS MORE BRUTAL THAN A CHAINFIST IN THE HEAD....
Red Nidz, some inquisitorial staff and... a mushroom
Thanks! Just mortal followers of chaos really, I had the models lying around and decided to use them to bulk out the army. As far as I recall there was a "daemon world" army list in an old codex that was based on fantasy chaos models, and that's the inspiration for using these guys for 40k.
Today I remembered some old bloodletter models I had lying around in a box, so I dug them out and decided they would look great with this army. I only have five though, so I'm not sure if I should mix them in with some new plastic letters in bigger units, or just keep them as a unit of five. Anyway, here they are, along with some WIP mortal thugs.

That khorne guy with banner is really good! I wouldn't change anything about the banner, it looks great!
The other three start to look good as well, I hope to see them finished soon
Keep up!
The sorcerer is now painted, so I proudly present Quresh the Mageslayer and a couple of freshly painted World Eaters of his retinue.

Looking good, love the style your placing with these guys, keep it up!

Hey guys! I won a couple of ebay auctions this week, one of which was a lizardman stegodon for another project. However, the stegadon came with a howdah-platform where the previous owner had piled a bunch of zombie and skeleton parts and added a star of chaos. My first thought was "hmmm, war altar of khorne?", so I'm running with that idea. I thought of getting some flagellant models to carry it, but I'm both impatient and low on cash so I decided to try and sculpt a chaos spawn to carry the altar around instead. If it doesn't look good, I can just get the flagellants and use the spawn for something else I figure.
The other model is an an oldie but goodie, and the first nurgle model for the army!

The Harrower is finished, so here it is in all its glory. It's supposed to be running, but if I build another one, I will put it in a more relaxed pose.

your dread "The Harrower" looks really good i love the conversion especially the right arm with the claw keep it up!
The Harrower is awesome! Your paint job on that is very very nice man. It's looking like a big scary mean machine, especially with the claw on his left arm.
Thanks! The model was entirely constructed from a spare SM dreadnought sarcophagus and bits of plastic sprue, and a few random pieces like the gun and head. The claw is two empire flagellant scythe heads mounted on a bit of sprue.
Managed to finish another model, the previously previewed champion. Gotta keep the thread alive!
