Corsair Wolves - The Defilement Of A Chapter

My first painting log ever! Huh, what to say, what to say...

Anyways, I started the hobby for LOTR about 7 years ago, unfortunately it only lasted for 2 years before I returned to my homeland where the concept of wargaming is non-existent. I stopped for 5 years before returning to the hobby a year ago. Started with Necrons, and now I'm starting the inevitable marine army

I decided that my first marine army shall be Space Wovles, altough their color scheme is cool and all, but I already have a army with a blue scheme('crons), so these guys will be traitors wolves using the Red Corsair color scheme, which happens to be my favourite power armor scheme. It's basically a big "what-if the Spaces Wovles turn to Chaos?"

The majority of the army will consist of space wolf kits with a few chaos marines scattered within the lot (have to make use of that Chaos battleforce I bought last year for no apparent reason). And hopefully, I'll be "violating" Space Wolves characters in the codex, giving them a different color and a different look.

But enough talk, let's get started. Most of the models aren't based because my PVA glue has grown a mind of its own over the years. And many of the models' details aren't done because I'm still trying to figure out the best color for them.

Let's begin with Lord Huron(Count as Rune Priest), complete with Hamadrya as a Chooser of Slain



Now for Ragnar the Blackmane, now renamed Ragna the Bloodedge.

It's a very nice army, but I can't help but feel that since they're essencially Red Corsairs, you ought to use Red Corsairs rules for them. But that's just me.

You do know that according to fluff there's a recorded incident of Space Wolves joining the Red Corsairs? Your warband is the perfect fit for those! Everything looks great by the way, the lone wolf and Ragnar in particular are looking mean.

I love the direction your army is taking. I also like the use of the space wolves list, as I feel both it and the new blood angels list make better chaos lists then the actual CSM list.

Making an army to fit two codex's is a great idea! Your corsairs look great too!

So after exactly 2 months and approximately 10 dead puppies, this plog will receive an update. I paint really slow but I managed to get most of the Grey Hunters done, they're based in a very neutral style because that's how I like 'em.

This is basically a retake of all the previous models and then some. WIPs will also follow shortly

You might have noticed a big difference in the lighting in some of these photos, that's because they're 2 different light sources from 2 different CONTINENTS. Yeah, which explains why it's taken me so long to have an update

And a how to one your wolf priests skull.. that's some slick bone colouring you have going on there. Very polished and clean rather than the dark creamy skulls we see floating around so much.
