I lol'd heartily at "Sekret Door". That's classic Ork right there. Some awesome looking terrain, and I'm enjoying seeing the table come together. Looking forward to more!

    Thanks.

I wish all this terrain was for my own table. Unfortunately there's no room in my house. Most of what I've been posting has either gone to a US Army Artillery Battery in Afghanistan or to a customer in Mass. I AM working on a couple pieces that I hope to stash at the local shop. Can you say Orks with a captured planetary defense laser?

I've been working on a Supa Zapp Kannon piece for Ork terrain. Here's a few pics with some early paint on it. I should have this done by middle of the week along with a couple of bunkers, a tower, and an effigy.

    Enjoy...

I like the way you build the small corner cannons Was planning a project like that myself.

Excellent work, this has given me a lot of inspiration for terrain of my own.

Well, the "Supa Zapp Kannon" installation is done. I wound up using the same style paint scheme I use on most of my buildings. Lots of rust and bolted on icons and scrap.

We used it yesterday in an Apocalypse battle. The rules still need some tweaking but it was a great objective to fight over.

Anyway, the Kannon and several other buildings are headed for eBay tonight. Check them out if you like. Oh, see if you can figure out what the barrel of the kannon is made from.

    Enjoy!

I love the buildings, but I would advise you for the future to base them not on rectangular bases but amorphous ones.

Not only can you add some extra little bitz on amorphous terrain to spice up the fun even further, but it will also blend in better on your table.

But do keep up! Real nice stuff. The rust looks really good.

Looking sweet, and I guess that the barrel was made from a toner cartridge roller, judging by the gears... the targetting display and the control panel on it are neat, I do wonder where such a Supa Kannon gets all its power from, as it doesn't seem to have a self-contained cold-fusion battery, and doesn't have any external power source connections. But that's just a minor gripe over some awesome terrain, I love the Joker theme, and I think that would make for a very cool new clan theme - perhaps they found a hidden stash of graphic novels in an underground bunker?

    Anyway, subscribing now!

Wow this is awesome. What kind of material do you use to build the fortress and how do you like cut it?

The material I use is called hardboard. It is the stuff clipboards are made of. You can get is at most DIY stores in 1/8 inch thickness.. To cut the material I generally use a table saw or jigsaw. I do use a small hand saw for intricate stuff. A dremel tool works if you have a saw wheel. Cutoff wheels don't work though.

One of the great things about this stuff (besides being inexpensive) is that it doesn't warp like cardboard when you paint or glue it. It makes for VERY durable pieces.

This is the coolest "ork fort" and "Ork terrain" I have seen so far!

I have been planning on making something like this for my own ork army. I have just got back into 40k after about 10years. I have made a few things out MDF wood for 40k e.g. roads, ruins, etc.

    Thanks for the great pictures!

These are all pretty sweet but I think you need to put more gubbins! take apart old electronics (cept for tv's I heard they are dangerous).

I have a bag that is half full of hundreds of metres of different wires and capacitors, resistors and even motors and generators.

But its very good considering its some sort of cardboard used, I always have trouble with that stuff.

    OH! and more rivets!

nice looking orky themed terrain in here, and i believe the barrel of the kannon is a clutchbell from a remote control car?

    Re: Unrepentant Terrain-aholic - Dark Eldar/Elf Update

Staying up late with too much caffeine and Taco Hell can inspire torturous visions. These are mine...

I decided to take a shot at some Dark Eldar/Dark Elf terrain. These are the first few rough pieces. Working on them let me see what I could and could not get away with on my scroll saw I'll probobly put these up on ebay soon and get started on v2.0. For now, I hope you enjoy these...

For more of pics of these pieces and other terrain, please seet my Photobucket page.

    Great work!

How are those curved shapes for the DE terrain made?
I'll have your *bleep* on a stick for that!
