THE BLACKER TEMPLAR
Bigger, Blacker, and Uncut
I have to say that is the coolest darn Dreadnought I've ever seen.![]()
w00t for Prime! and none of that Rodimus Prime hehehhe Oh, and that's a nice looking drop pod too. Now you just need some luckless model to be Starscream so you can say, "You're an idiot, Starscream!" whenever it screws up.
Currently playing: Team Fortress 2 and my drums.
40k armies: Blood Angels, Imperial Guard, Tau, Daemonhunters.
Other stuff: BFG Imperial fleet, WF Orcs, Battletech
Sorry but we cannot allow links to sites that break GW IP.
This design of drop pod is copyrighted to GW and as such they take a dim view of people trying to copy it.

What the,,,optimus dread???
NICEEEE!!!!!
nice idea,
to bad the paint looks realy thick
Turn everything you have into a weapon and you'll never be defenceless.

the pod pales in comparisson to that dread! Its really quite clever.
the pods construction looks fine but as mentioned above, as with the dread the paint looks too thick.
They've stated that if you call your drop pod a 'space landing capsule' or similar, and remove all GW-related images such as the Aquillas, drop pod templates are allowed, even if they very closely match GW designs.Originally Posted by Brimstone

Were'nt those plans on the BWC Archive mailing list on Yahoogroups ?
They are not 'extremely rare' as anyone joining the group can gain access to them.
I had GW legal request I withdraw my drop pod templates for RETRIBUTION. If I were you I'd be careful about posting such things especially on a forum like Warseer that a number of GW connected people look and post on.
We're working on a series of non GW/FW based "inter orbital assault lander pod' plans for use with Sci Fi games for posting on RETRIBUTION fairly soon.

Doesn't matter if it resembles the Forgeworld drop pod then you cannot post links to it on Warseer.Originally Posted by Chaos and Evil

So hang on, if I decided to stick an aquila on a sugar bowl and call it a drop pod I'd be breaking GW IP?Originally Posted by Chaos and Evil

Nope, you'd be silly.Originally Posted by Flame of Udun

I know I was being silly, that was the point! If you take the issue to an extreme then you can see how daft it is. I mean how can GW claim intellectual property for the idea of a drop pod, IIRC Robert Heinlein mentioned them first in Starship troopers. How are GW promoting the hobby by preventing people to create their own drop pods? It also discriminates against people who can't afford to buy FW's version or indeed don't want FW's version. I could stick an aquila to a sugar bowl and call it a space marine drop pod if I wanted to and sell it to somebody for 50p if I felt like doing so, my point is it shouldn't be any of GW's business what I do with my sugar pot pod, UNLESS if I was passing them off as the genuine FW drop pods should it make any difference.
