wow... In that case, I can even field 2 units! 100 skeletons, only over 400 points. A spectacle... Hm............ *close eyes, deep in thought*

    See, told you it's fun!!

That leaves you with 600 points to tool up a lord, add in a hero perhaps and still have some points left for a special or rare choice.

@Daniel36: Ooo... skele-spam army... very tempting you know...

@malika: hey malika! Nice of you to drop by I've been really really busy actually... things with Riceball Miniatures are not too bad, actually, at least for a start.
Yeah, I haven't been to TFM for a long time... I've just been so busy with so many things. I just got the news about Borak tho... I feel really sad hearing the news. How's everyone at TFM? I should work in some time to get back and contribute again.
Oh yea, thanks for posting up for Riceball over at Dakka, mate. I saw it, just didn't have the time to keep up with it all yet. Really appreciate it.

Ah... a long hiatus... and no pics?? Well, I've been mulling a lot over the latest TK and I was kinda stymied over what to do for the longest time. Now that I've straightened out my thoughts, I'm settling down on one project for my games workshop collection for the remainder of the year.

Since I've 'finished' assembling and painting the space marine list that I set out to do right at the beginning of my 40k adventures(that's like a few years ago), it's time to expand them... I'm building a counts as deathwing force of about 1.5k. The number of models I need to paint up are quite small (they are deathwing, after all) so each model painted will be an encouragement for me.

    So... pics soon!

I jumped back straight to the start of the log to look up your space marines and I am now definitely looking forward to see what you add to them! You've got a nice force to start off with and its always fun to expand an existing collection

    Re: JT's Plog o' Plod

Thanks HereBeDragons! Yes, it's good to expand, especially with a theme!

@Daniel: No worries! I've got like 16 pg worth of stuff now, and plowing through all of it again might not be as entertaining as playing ULTIMA! I loved that game, though I've forgotten so much of it already... it was so long ago... and then there was Baldur's Gate! Ohhhh what fun!

Well, I haven't had the time to take marines pics yesterday or today, but I am working on something as a gift for a friend... so here's the first pic of it... try to guess what it is as I plog along

She seems elven. Or maybe an Oriental chick like Azumi or smoething... It reminds me though, I should start sketching concept art for Chronicles models so I can commission you!

heya bluewolf, it's a one-off piece for a friend, so I'm afraid it won't be cast.

Too bad, could've worked well as an oriental-themed Elven race for your setting.

And Juicy, I am currently working hard on some concept sketches... Not that it's truly necessary, they are the basic fantasy clichés, but it's nice to get my sketch on again and I do have some specific ideas. It's pretty cool I can commission you now. I totally dig your style.

Can't wait to see those sketches, Daniel, and fantasy cliches or no, it's good fun to do put pencil to paper

@bluewolf: I'm getting pretty busy these days but I'll do what I can when I find the time.

    So... an update:

I'm pushing to finish this sculpt as quick as I can, though I haven't had much time at the sculpting table over this last week. I hope I can find more time this week.

    Re: JT's Plog o' Plod

That's no problem, bluewolf Take your time.

Meanwhile, I have found, thanks to Daniel, my drive to continue my TK project. I'll be rejoining the Tale. I've already set aside my July painting quota and am really looking forward to finish painting this army.

I have also recently been inspired to paint up my terrain, and will be showing some pics of the work I've done soon.

As for the deathwing project, it has been re-relegated to next year's tale, as was my original plan for the year until I got confused with what to do with the TK at the point of the recent army book update.

Anyways, just reporting on the direction of the painting projects I have with me. Pics soon!
