The neverending paintstory (SM-DH-IG), pictureheavy++
hi
i've been playing and painting for 4 years now, i'd like to hear this community's comment and advice
it started out as a greyknights force with some guard, but then i realised with the arrival of the apocalypse expansion that a big imperial army under inquisitorial command would be a lot of fun (especially since this gave me to excuse to start any army of the imperium that i like)
i'm planning/working on or have finished :
Grey knights
Imperial guard (mostly cadians and vostroyans, some dkok and catachans)
superheavies
flyers
salamanders as basic marineforce
ravenguard as assault force with some backup
whitescars as bikers/speeders
spacewolf loganwing
i'll post what i've done in this thread and any wip to force myself to continue (i'll be starting simular threads for fantasy and xenos i have laying around) because otherwise i'll end up with many plasic without any paint on them

Welcome to the forums!
I really like your Salamanders, and the others look good aswell!
There are 2 things that (in my humple opinion) would make your armies really pop and wouldnt require alot of effort on your hand:
- Drill your gunbarrels! A drill is a cheap investment and all models (especially large-calibre guns like Heavy Bolters and Multi-meltas) will look ALOT better from this simple procurement!
- Put just a LITTLE bit more effort into your basing. Some of your units arent based at all, but for example your Salamanders would look better if you just painted the rim of the base in black (to contrast with the grey of the sand and the green of the marines).
