    MindSlave does Warriors of Chaos!

    Alrighty Warseer!

This shall (unfortunately) be a somewhat short log, because of lack of models and funds. However, come September (and the incoming of Student Loans) more may well be added!

I've been collecting on and off for the last ten odd years, and have never come anywhere close to completing an army! What a shocker... So this time, I'll finally finish one!

Most of this was bought about two years ago, and then sat, unopened, until now...

    Enough waffle, onto the pictures!

EDIT: This army will now be appearing in the Tale of Fantasy Painters! Huzzah! All my WiP and finished models will be in this log, as there is a limit on what I'll be able to show in the official ToFP threads.

First off, the obligatory Workspace shot...

Warriors of Chaos unit, built back when the frontage was 4...

Next, the start of a unit of Knights, and a Lord on Daemonic Steed. These are the only guys I have, once they're done, this log will have to take a break for a while

Any comments/crit is more than welcome!

(P.S, sorry for the gigantic pictures...)

Urgh, now you make me want to redo my Chaos Warriors I've just painted. The whole style is great and the colour scheme is wonderful. Great job.

That picture of the four ranked warriors looks really impressive and as the camera angle looks like it is taken from the perspective of an opponent, I was a little scared by that woderful sight. Really nice painting on them too.

Cheers for the thumbs up guys! Didn't expect such praise for the first batch...
@Riceeman, the paint scheme is dead simple really. Just Mithril
Silver and a Gold drybrushed over a black undercoat until it looks right. A splash of silver on any details/chainmail, followed by a wash f brown ink, and that's it!

Thanks Cragum! Erm, the basing material (as far as I can remember, it's been hanging around for years...) is just a modelling sand from a hobby shop. I think it might have been for Hornby train sets or something. I don't think it was GW at any rate.

    Thanks again for the praise

Update time! Made some progress on the Knights today. The bases are pretty much done (aside from the edging), as is most of the armour. Still needs plenty of detail paint doing though.

EDIT: Is it just me, or are there hundreds of WoC armies hanging around? Haha!

Looks really grim, just like a chaos army should do Amazing paint job the metal and the red on the cloaks are my favourite parts. Another thread I'll have to follow. Keep it up and show us your progress and may the chaos gods bless your warriors in combat.

Not a WoC update, but nevertheless... An old dark elf bloke with the spearhead from a Dark Elf unit. I suppose it could count as a Slaaneshi champion? As it stands, he's a display unit/paperweight.

    Enjoy!

very nice look to the armour, what colour are you using to drybrush? mithril/chain/boltgun?

Re: MindSlave does Warriors of Chaos!

    Update time!

Not got shed loads done, but the knights are now based and (almost) fully built. One guy needs arms, and then a bit of drybrushing left on the armour. Then a touch of detail on the armour, sort out the horses, freehand a banner and that'll be them done and dusted!

@Fruhauf - The armour is drybrushed in alternating layers of Shining Gold and Mithril Silver. Any detail is picked out in Boltgun Metal (like Chainmail, which is then followed by a brown wash), or any particularly fancy armour is picked in Mithril Silver as well.

Thanks again for the positive comments everyone!

    Now, onto the pics...

You know, I see alot of chaos knights, but I can honestly say, these look like how chaos knights should look in my mind.

    Superb job mate.
