ok so I don't paint much fantasy stuff, I'm a marine fanboi - but I have picked up a few minis of late which don't quite fit into other logs of mine.
So here it is - rev's exceptionally infrequently updated fantasy log...

Awesome work from you as usual Rev. Not my favourite model, but a really nice paint job by you!

I was hoping...desperately hoping these would not be as good as your 40K stuff alas my disappointment is keenly felt they are as good f not better. Very nice clean painting on a piece that is really way too busy for its own good!
You should get that airbrush of yours to work painting some horde formations!

Awesome job Rev. However can I ask if thats a missed nipple ring on the skin hanging over Wulfriks shield?
What colours are you using for the green on the armour?
As mentioned earlier a very busy model to paint, however Rev you've done it justice! Great combination of colours, all very subtle and blended superbly. Beautifully done!!

Everything is great, but this guy is definitely to clean. No dirt, no blood. Also the flesh on the shield looks a bit to fresh.

that looks very nice....glad you decided to also join the fantasy painters at least....
keep up the awesome work
The freshness of the skin is quite deliberate, I thought it implied a more 'I've just skinned one of your comrades bring it on' sense in the figure ;-) it also contrast much better with the grey rotting nature of the characters own flesh. The grey rotting skin people paint always says to me - I used to be hard but now all I've got to show for it is this old skin I took when I was young and healthy!

Really nice work on the characters rev, nice to see some fantasy from you, I've gotta say I really like the contrast the "fresh" flesh provides, and i'm also overjoyed to see you haven't used the tentacle arm on the mounted lord![]()
Your models are ace as always. Nice to see you painting some fantasy too, it looks as great as all the 40k stuff you've painted.
I'm really fond of your way of highlighting. It's hard and in straight lines, that gives a lot of depth to all of the surfaces.
Great stuff as usual Rev. Always impressive.
...its about time you came over to the Dark Side and painted some Fantasy stuff!!!
The steed looks incredible, the 'extreme'(used loosely) highlight looks fantastic, dark tones yet still catches the eye. Very well done.
I've just started a Warriors of Chaos army so I'll be watching this log for sure for ideas to steal...er borrow.... get 'inspiration' from, there that should do.
Abash, the devil stood and felt how awful goodness is...How awful goodness is.

Really nice models but the glaring blue of your background makes my eyes bleed and the colours of the paintjob look dull.

I definitely agree, the models are gorgeous but the background is a bit distracting. I'd be tempted to play with them a bit in Photoshop when I get home from work
Scrolled through (most of) your 40k threads too, very cool armies and I can't believe how many of them you have churned out![]()
Just a few pics of a recently finished Queek:
Rev
Thats a really stunning queek you've produced rev, both brilliantly painted and highly original.
woot, very nice![]()
