Lightbulb My All-Purpose Modular Cave Complex.

Welcome to my Cave. You will see Rocky wonders, Coffins, arches and lava. You will also see fighting. Boiling and echoing fighting.

What started out as my Terragenesis Competition entry with the theme "Burial site competition: Here lies the body..." has become a gaming table both for 40k and for Fantasy.

Check out my teaser WIP (I am holding back on showing the full scale of it until the due date) :
    Tiles from the crypt

I wanted to create a modular dungeon with walls and obstructions I could move around. Also I wanted the base to made up of tiles that can be swapped out and rotated to create different scapes. The theme was underground crypt, but now it has taken on a larger aspect. I will be giving the gaps a lava effect for added fun. I am also planning some raised walkways, firing positions, and Blast-template-shaped craters for cover and also to fill with lava.

I will be showing my progress here and how it develops. I hope to have fun playing on this board and I hope you will enjoy looking at it grow.

    Thank you for reading this.

Those are great references Bugbait, Thank you! I was scared Lava might be a bit overdone so I was also considering something like boiling sulfur in green or blue lava or purple even, but I don't know about that.

Lava does open up interesting game play options though. I was thinking of making lava craters that correspond with blast templates. Fighting on a thin crust can be hazardous if you blow open gaping holes everywhere...Thinking of some fun rules for that.

I guess it's old school Lava then.
