World eaters Log - Blood for the Blood God!

Ok so back in the Chaos mindset, parking everything and just chaos fullsteam ahead from now on!

So with that in mind i'v dug out my WE army and intend to get it done.

First a bit of a test model, right eye needs work but its a mid effort job, aiming for nice TT quality. Very easy to paint.



Oh and this lil fella I converted up over the weekend who's gonna act as a DP

If its not too much to ask may I have a step by step please as I am just starting a World Eaters army and im not sure how to paint them.....
That juggernaut looks brilliant cant wait to see it painted!

Very easy, in my old age i like keeping stuff simple. GW's foundation paints and washes are my best friends ever.

Armour is:
Paint the armour mechrite red foundation paint - 2ish coats.
Where from the edges of the armour do a faded light highlight of blood red, kinda like so it fades into the mechrite in the middle.
Thin highlight of blazing orange on pronounced edges
Wash the armour with gyphone sepia

Rims are:
Shining gold
Devian mud wash

Metal is:
Boltgun metal
Babab black wash

Gloves/off black bits are:
Charadon granite foundation paint
Babab black wash

Skin is:
Tallarn flesh foundation paint
gyphonne sepia wash
Mild Tallarn flesh highlight

Bone is:
Bleached bone
Delvian mud wash

Leather is:
Calth brown foundation paint
any dark wash.

Looking good so far. I would recomend that you may find it's best to run dreads\defilers in pairs (so 2 dreads, 2 defilers) rather than one of each. Thats what I've found so far anyway, you might find different.

Yea wanted 2 defilers but not enough HS choices, plus have the FW dread model.

Speaking of models this army has been on a self really for like 6 years, i bought it back when i worked for GW when you could do weight orders, as a result most of the models are metal, metal shoulder pads and kharns backback!

plus all the other stuff like FW land raider doors etc this smallish 1500pt force to buy now would weight in at £440! ($699).

Crazy.

Very nice, all of the forge world kits for world eaters are awsome. Especially the terminators and the lord, which ride in my land raider.

How are you going to base your basic beserkers and dreadnoughts by the way?

Looking very nice, love the dread (I plan to have two of those beasts so it'll be good to see how they look when finished.) The bladed discs on the rhino are a nice touch.

yea goes back to the weight order days like i mentioned and when you could order individual parts from mailorder *wipes nostalgic tear from his eye*

changed the list a bit. Wanted another DP in there heh but more so cus i am loving the new model! the guy on jugger is gonna be like his herald (fluff brewing).

So needed to get rid of some grunts and thought,,, simple 5 man squad! bizarre experimental concept i know but i think it might be quite cool in the rhino. Still get 20 s5 I5 WS5 attacks, 5 bolt pistol shots and 4 bolter shots from the rhino! should be a decent objective holder/backup unit.

I know effectively this army is boned in regards to holding objectives, its more fun up an close as fast as you can and kill them in the face for the lols than uber competitive.

When i firts started my World eaters army, i had trouble with objectives. I eventually settled on this;

Kharn the betrayer
Chaos lord, Daemon wep. wings
3 x 8 Beserkers w. Rhino's (dozer blade, extra armour)
1 x 7 Beserkers
Land raider w. Daemonic possession
Preadator w. Daemonic possession, Triple Lascannon

In bigger games, i add my 2 dreadnoughts, Zufbor (Abbadon - He's got the daemon weapon and the power fist/talon), 4 terminators with chainfists, anouther rhino. But, in small games, the volume of high strength, high WS attacks will win most battles. I use most of the cool stuff in bigger games.

I have the chainsaw arm on the left most slave in the pic on a few of my bezerkers

Know their reasons but it was such a punch in the face to creativity when gw stopped individual bitz ordering.

@thesheriff interesting list man, unconventional but interesting. How you get on with that daemon weapon?

Because it's not mark of khorne, he doesnt take off 2 wounds a time. And, without a mark, he's S5, which is awsome. And, because he MOVEs like jump infantry,a nd he isnt specifically classed as jumop infantry, he hangs upside down in a rhino and flaps out on his own and contests objectives and ties up units.

And, lets not forget, on average 8 S5 attacks, hitting on 3's, wounding on 3's (against marines) he should kill 4 a turn, provide a brilliant distarction.

bit of a small update, just put this guy together as my other 'main' daemon prince. This new kit is an actual dream to put together! Really impressed.

Needs a bit of work on the shoulder pad but otherwise he'll do.





he needs a good khorney name with 'the' bit any ideas? like kevin the killer etc.
