Pig Iron Militia Heads and Cadians, anyone?

    These are the heads.

Just wondering if anyone has tried 'em on Cadians?
    Pics are appreciated!

Ive not used them, but their other heads work fine on Cadians. A number of my guys have Peaked caps and bare heads from pig iron.

Looks great. I just wonder if it would even work with WYSIWYG. How was the rule again? 80% of the miniature has to be GW parts?

Re: Pig Iron Militia Heads and Cadians, anyone?

I have just ordered some of their heavy infantry closed helmets for my drop troops, its nice to know that they'll fit scale wise. Although I guess thats the kind of thing I should have checked before hand.

But with it being such great value I couldn't resist.

    Pig Iron Heads...

I'm planning to start an urban combat imperial guard army after my exams and was wondering if the Heavy Infantry heads ( with open visors ) will look good/appropriate on Cadian minis. If possible, can those who bought "heads" from Pig Iron post the pics of their minis here?

I don't have those specifically, but the ones I did buy (Kolony Rebel and Milita) fit perfectly.

Pig Iron bits for plastic cadian conversions

I was looking at the Pig Iron Kolony militia heads at TheWarstore, and thought how great they would be for making renegade militia with the plastic cadian boxed set. Anyone know how well the heads would fit onto the plastic torsos?

The coal-scuttle helmet and gas mask heads fit nicely onto Cadian torsos as long as you remember to shave the necks properly after cutting them off their sprue.

    Cadians w/ Pig Iron Heads

I've decided to start a guard army, and I wanted to collect DKoK, but seeing as they cost a fortune I decided to buy Cadian sprues online and the Pig Iron gas mask heads so as to resemble Death Korps. Should I do this or just buy a box set?

Why does it matter to you what a bunch of random people from the internet think? It's your money. It's your army. Do what you think'll look cool.

Re: Cadians w/ Pig Iron Heads

Actually Critias, I think he wants opinions so that he doesn't make a mistake.

I mean, if he buys the Cadian Sprues, and tries to use the Pig Iron Gas Mask heads, and it doesn't work, he's out that money and still has to buy the box set.

If someone tells him right away that it won't work, he doesn't waste his time, money and effort.

That being said, if you can get just one of each of those, the model and the head, I suggest making a single piece first. if it works out, then try and do the whole thing. If it doesn't work, you're not out too much money.

    There's my thoughts on that.
