Ned paints at the speed of an asmatic snail

Well after over 16 years of collecting and only managing a few things painted in all fairness i think it's about time i took my thumb out of my rear-end and got cracking on with them all.

First things first a small list of some things to paint,

Well that should do for starters, spraying starts tomorrow so i'l put some pics up when i can

a couple of things i started around and just after christmas, still got a few things to do on the dwarfs but i get easily distracted when it comes to painting.

Well started on one of my goblin cheerleaders, she looks so fetching in her pink frilly knickers and pink pom-poms hope to get the skin finished today and get her baby blue skirt started too

Well, at least you don't paint at the level of an asmatic snail... I like the Empire commander. I have one almost assembled so this is some good inspiration! Nice, clean painting.

cheers mate much appreciated, the general was the first fantasy figure i've painted in about 10 or so years but much of him and most of the horse will be getting repainted when i've finished the models on my desk that my girlfriend has instructed me to finish lol.

your epic daemon prince is insane and bloody good, and i'm loving the nurgle land raider too,

well pictures aren't great but i'm sure you can work out most of whats there, all these are currently on my to do list and i'm under strict instructions from the missus to get these done before i buy anything else.

the goblin cheerleader is a test model i'm doing as the other one will be getting painted up, heavily varnished and attached to a chain for my missus to wear, the test model is an absolute pain to paint as there is so many little nooks and crannys that you struggle to get a brush into but i'm gonna get there at my usual slow pace

Well not much progress recently as i've been ill, managed a few layers on the goblins skin before having to give up to puke everywhere lol,

But on a plus note i've ordered some mini's from Reaper http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStor...sku-down/10029 so by the time they arrive from the states I might actually have something finished (hopefully)

I hope the white on the captain is just the undercoat for a Hochland green.
The dwarf crew looks great too.
I'm looking forward to what ever it is you'll do with the Reaper villagers.
I actually thought about getting them myself, but this way I can have someone make a test run for me. Awesome!

lol i haven't actually decided what state to go for, keep trying out about 6 different states on some test figures, but thanks for the kind comments once again, yeah when the reaper villagers arrive i'll get some photo's up as soon as i can so you can see what they are like




got this laspistol basecoated a couple of years ago, might have to dig it out and get it done once i've made progress on my other things, oh the joys of being a slow painter

the goblin cheerleader is so cute and grotesque all at once! Not the painting, mind you, I mean the model, and that in a good way too. Any progress on painting that model? And your wife's going to wear that on a chain! Wow! She's way cool.. and sadly, only a geek like me will say something like that...

So what are the villagers from Reaper going to be used for? Such exciting minis...

lol she raised an eyebrow at me when i said you'd called her my wife lol, not married yet, one day (probs when i get her necklace finished lol )

Got a few more layers of green on her/him/it going to try and get an old school type colour on the skin i.e the red period era, this one's only a test model so i can get a general feel for the colours i'll use for the proper one but they are such bad models to paint, don't know if its just the age of the sculpts or if the moulds are wearing out but there is so many rough patches on it that really don't look like they should be there


Just fancied a bit of a change from GW figures and the Reaper ones just cried out to be got will hopefully get hold of a few different villager type figures and get a village built up when we get a place of our own, also ordered

Oo... so you went and ordered more minis, like the good hobbyist that you are (and that I am too!) I love the reaper stuff. I've got a few of their minis and intend to get more in time to come.

it does on orders over 35 pounds I ordered those other ones when i ordered the villagers just for the variation of painting them,
hey don't worry about the missus thing lol, yeah i think i'll probably order some more reaper stuff once i've got the other ones out of the way as some of them look amazing,
