    Ghost's Terrain Log

After reading, and admiring, so many of the terrain logs here I decided I needed to do a little more than just observe and instead actually contribute.
So what will follow is some of my own WIP as well as some of my completed terrain.

Due to "space" issues my terrain tends to be of the "scatter" variety, and with my lifestyle (that includes regular international moves) I really don't have a choice. Though it would be lovely to be able to attempt a setup like Boreas_NL.

Here is one of my current WIP, a small Dwarven Brewery.

Not sure if I actually like these stairs???

I have to say, "I love Hirst Arts", it' is the closest thing I have come to playing with Lego as an Adult save actually pulling out my bricks and playing with Lego.

    Any Feedback would be appreciated.

Oh, and the "rivets" are those plastic "bling" crystals that seem to adorn every second female phone (where I live). They look crap while unpainted, but dry-brush up quite well...now, if I can find some that are 40K tank size all will be perfect.

Wow! Cool use of Hirst blocks and balsa...

I like the feel of your brewery, the large wooden barrel, stairs and chimneys. All very nice!

And, as a fellow Hirst enthusiast, you gotta love the LEGO!
Check out my Mordheim scenery! NOW! I mean... Please... Only if you want to of course...
Get your ale while it's still hot! And discover why Stirland should rule The Empire...

Boreas_NL: Thanks for the feedback. hopefully as I post more of my work you might see something to inspire you as much as you have me.

    Laughing God: Thanks.

Mrtn: I was too lazy to cut up lots os sprue so I am always looking for a "shortcut". Today I found some that were only 2mm in Diameter, which is better than what I have, but the goal is to find some that are only 1mm.

    Tcraigen: Thanks.

Very impressive. Will you spraypaint over the wood and drybrush?

Great piece, and I like the stairs!

Are you going to cover some of the blank spots in the stonework?

    Impressive use of materials.

    Woah what A greatly unique
    project you have started.

Is it going to be some sort of steam punk forge for Mordhiem?

Well what ever it's for, you have a great building style.

    Re: Ghost's Terrain Log

Photographer: The plan is to paint it up in keeping with the other terrain pieces I already have, so that I can "build" either a village or maybe even a town, possibly for Mordheim if I build more ruined pieces. This should give you an idea of what I am trying to achieve:

Dalanshin: The plan is for the whole upper floor to be stone, the add a tiled roof that leaves the coppers poking through. I just need to cast some more blocks, and then wait for them to dry.

    Gekiganger, jlmd_123: Thanks.

N810: My main army are Dwarves, so the Brewery is just a natural extension of any terrain piece important enough for my "boys" to die defending. I guess it is a little steampunk but then so is an army of stunties. Am working on this crane to add to the feel of an advanced operation for producing beer:

Nedsta: Thanks. I appreciate the compliment especially considering how many talented builders are on this site.

N810: Warhammer and Steampunk inspiration just begs for Lego. It just seems like they belong together. :-)

Daniel36: Thanks for the positive on the stairs, since they were the one part I was not too happy about.

Here is the first building I put together using Hirst Arts...I was trying for a village Smithy.

I probably should try to get an internal shot, so the actual forge is visible.

    Some progress on the Brewery.

Just need to sit down in front of the TV and tile the roof, as well as decide whether to fill in the eaves at either end or leave them exposed to give more of a view inside (which will mean a little more batten work.

    Then on to the painting
