    amazing.

this is one of the only logs I've ever seen which has tempted me to try fantasy on a large scale.

5 stars, bookmarked, subbed and I'll be bac to steal all your ideas.

I really like the Plague Monk conversions. They are very characterful and fit the aesthetic of the new Skaven range much better than the older models.

I can only assume the lack of new material is due to you actually kidnapping him

    What's with all the crypticness??

This is probably my favorite blog of all time. I was really sad to notice Silver's disappearance. Was looking forward to those night runners with those grave guard legs and the pox rat ogre. The Minotaur-based ROgre's are incredible.

Re: Sliver's Skaven (work in progress)

Oh dear, its more than half a year since my latest update. But better late than never I guess.

I've finished three more plague monks and the plagued Rat Ogre who'll be a unit filler with the monks.
I'm about to make a new movement tray for those guys, as it seems like a good idea to run them as a horde.
Once its done I'll take a new regiment shot of them. For now, here's the new additions:

    Plagued Rat Ogre

    Plague Monks

Next up is some feral orcs for mordheim, the boss and a big un, just their bases left at the moment. Sorry for the slow updates, I'll try to push out more kitbashed painted miniatures now when I've adjusted to having a job and stuff like that. Yay, no more studying. Nay, much less free time.

Anyway, hope you like the new additions even if the pictures are not the best.

That's a great Rat Ogre conversion, what parts did you use? I think I see some HPA stuff on it.

Re: Sliver's Skaven (work in progress)

Glad you like him despite his unhealthy condition ^^

It is a correct observation that alot of pieces comes from the HPA kit, thanks to the flourishing online bitz market. Thats where the feet, right arm, left hand and tail is from.
Legs, left arm, torso, spine and shoulder pads are from the minotaur kit, and the head is from a direwolf. The warpstone in his back is cut from a piece of sprue and most of the spikes are from kroot rifles.

I've just purchased the crypt ghouls for the remainder of the monks in the 10x4 horde I'm building, so will start putting them together over the comming weeks.

    Thanks for having a look!

Re: Sliver's Skaven (work in progress)

Long live the bits market! I didn't notice it was a Minotaur body, it all looked so natural together (well as natural as a 10 foot rat man can get).

I'm digging the superb painting and orange glow your models all seem to have. It gives the crazy skaven creations a sense of uniformity and helps convey a sense of mood. Your plague monks are also particularly inspired. Well done.

Sorry for the thread-omancy but I really want to know what "White spirit" is. Är det T-röd eller? And where do you get the Wood Stain from? Någon färghandel?

White spirit is paint brush cleaner. Wood stain can be bought from any decent DIY store, or on the high street probably Claus Olson: the toy shop for men as my missus calls it!
