I cleaned up my painting station the other day and changed the newspaper I'd been painting on. Turned out it was from April.

    Re: Warriors of Khorne

So, in three days I will be attending a tournament. Where painted models are required. This means that I have had to speed up my painting quite a bit. The fruit of my labour can be seen below.

Finished the warriors. Someone suggested that I paint some corn on the banner. Get it? Corn? Khorne?

My forsaken. Really bad at ranking up.

My marauders with flails, with a HUGE unit filler. It started out as a warshrine, but fits perfectly in the marauder unit.

The Lord musician. Who knew that champions of Khorne were musical?

    The regular lord. Finished now.

The battle standard bearer. Really satisfied with the blood on the icon of Khorne.

The *gasp* sorceress! What is she doing with all these burly Khorne warriors?

The whole group, as well as some older knights and horsemen.

    Re: Warriors of Khorne

Wow, these look great! As I've said before I think your bases and models compliment one another beautifully.

One thing I have to point out, though, is that the champion musician is only going to get one beat out of that drum, and it's going to sound like this: "Pop!"
Unless the drum skin is made of some special khorne puncture-proof material.

The drum if filled with beer or blood, and the club is there to make a drinking hole you silly Rorulmesp.. :P
Awsome list.. and if you ever want to make a competative list out of that.. juggers work wonders as unit fillers.. =)

Wow, you're certainly not joking about stepping it up. Well done. Such a nice army, and at an incredible pace.

hey Ister, i was wondering, did you need to sculpt a saddle for those knight legs to fit properly with the juggernaut torsos or do they fit reasonably well straight out of the box?

very good work so far on the army, love the conversion work on it, its definitely an inspiration, i plan on using jugger riders(4 of them to be exact) in my Nurgle army(the khorne marked heroes and lord are infected with a mind disease) and this log has given me alot of ideas on converting my characters

also, if my eye isn't decieving me, is that a genestealer torso you used for the armor of the lord musician? very cool idea, would it be possible to take a back shot of him?

    Re: Warriors of Khorne

A great looking army. Would love to see this army grow to 3000 points or more.
The lords on juggernauts would look awesome lined up as a unit as well! Like in the battle report in the 8th edition rulebook. If it's in the rulebook, I'm assuming it is legal aswell ;-)

    Re: Warriors of Khorne

its legal now that characters can attach to other character to become a unit, thats what i'm doing in my "Mono-Nurgle" army, the khorne marked jugger Lord and Heroes are all making up on unit, riding together and getting buffed by a warshrine, fluffwise they're the "Paladins of Filth", theres a thread in Rules Discussion that explains why characters can now function as a unit, so its definitely possible for Ister to run his jugger characters as a unit

    Re: Warriors of Khorne

    Thank you for your comments!

@No-One: the torso is actually from a possesed chaos space marine. The bsb has a death company torso and the lord with shield has another possessed torso. The knight legs fit fairly well over the juggernauts. It helps that they are split down the middle. I did have to sculpt a small saddle behind them though. I did this after I glued on the legs. I can post a pictureof it later.

@ Nkari: I was thinking the exact same thing! It's not a drum, it's a keg!

@Kaos: I'm in a car on my way to the tournament as I write this. Been up all night helping my cousin finish his skaven army...
