Hi there! Inspired by the great work of Once_bitten and VaulTK(VaulSC) I've started a series of battle reports recorded in a podcast format that are available on iTunes, youtube, and at our own website.

Each episode features at least two gamers, at least 15 minutes of useless blather, and at least one six pack consumed!

Haven't seen them all yet but so far I am really enjoying your battle reports. The sound quality, however, is nothing to brag about (sorry) but maybe the quality will improve in your more recent reports...

Interesting game and thank you for the HUGE improvement in sound quality, it really makes a big difference!

I made a few notes:

-I like this format and I look forward to your next report.
-I like Ragnar's vintage stuff!
-Ragnar is a kick-ass name.
-This was a good example of Orc magical potency and the power of the Waaagh magic deck.
-When your Boar boyz and hero on the giant spider was fighting the Wild Riders couldn't they have reformed (by making a Ld-test) and turned to face them head on? Did you choose not too or am I missing something?

We have a slight change in format scheduled for the next report...just building on what we already have.

As for the reform, I actually did remember to roll to reform but failed the roll. HOWEVER....I rolled on my modified leadership and failed and forgot that I was steadfast and only needed a seven! Next time I'll be sure to remember as that would have been a HUGE swing.

Very nice battle reports guys!! I love this stuff!

One small remark on the battle between the orcs and the warriors of chaos:
In the fight between the chaos warriors including the bsb and the disc sorcerer vs the remaining big uns, the giant and the goblins neither the standard bearer of the warriors nor the bsb could have run away, since standard bearers always stay behind (and get auto-killed) when a unit breaks.

I have to say it again: I very much enjoy the show, such a good way to make the tactics and the battle come alive.

Yeah we noticed that after the game as looking through the pictures...I added in a comment! Luckily I was able to pull it out even with those pesky flag wavers cheating death.

You guys aren't playing overuns correctly. A unit or model may only overrun into another ongoing combat. Check the rulebook for more info.

Hmmm...check out page 57 (I think) of the rulebook. You're able to overrun just like you could in 7th...in fact, you MUST overrun and declare a new charge if there are enemies in the way of your pursuit. The thing about the ongoing combat is that you can only fight an additional round of combat if you overrun into it. I don't think we broke the overrun rules. Let me know if I'm misunderstanding the BRB.

Anyways, thanks for checking out the reports! We learn new rules every week it seems, 8th is a lot to handle!

Well done on the series. The production value has improved with each one.

For some I imagine they are rather long, but for me, who doesn't get many opportunities to play, they are a great way to get my fix and learn about the different armies. I especially like to tune in while painting

Sorry guys. There were a LOT of troubles with the last episode that was supposed to be released 2 weeks ago....unfortunately there was a split with the Mrs and this episode was on her machine....suffice to say I was not able to get at it and I've had other things occupying my time for the past few weeks...trying to sort out my living situation and such....

The perils of wargaming....put down the brushes for a moment and go tell your wife/girlfriend you love her!

Anyways, the show will be back though I think it'll be another week or so before we're fully operational. I have some great news though:
1. We have custom BR dice for sale! They're cheap too.
2. We have an official sponsor for season 2! No announcement yet, but the sponsor has graciously offered up free armies to use in the reports!
3. There are a lot of top GT players interested in getting in on some BR action so there are a lot of great names coming up on future reports.
