    Watchtower

I made this one for the GW battleboard contest, haven't seen what won yet, but I'm pretty sure being a bit too out of the box didn't help me.

Anyway, wanted it to be dynamic so the tree is removable so that units can easily mill about the tower. I painted the model during a saturday, helped a lot by airbrushing. This piece also served as a color test for my the Realm of Battle board I purchased resently.

    Cheers

Well, I don't know what other people have sent in, but this is one nice piece of scenery! It should however be moved to the Support Group section, as you already finished it! Nice use of colours. I like it a lot.

My first thought is that it would look great alongside a High Elf army safe that its probably not "elfie" enough and is to Empire...still I wish I could wield an airbrush like that.

I agree. It's a shame that GW decided to make elf architecture so... not functional...

If they had made it slightly more "human", this is what it would have looked like.

Wow. I think that's lovely. Really simple, beautifully painted and a great idea to mount it on the forest base.

It's just a watchtower on a base with a tree. But that does not matter one bit as the painting is so nice and crisp, would look great on any board, even the studio's.
