Sad to hear that your warhound turned out that bad, Mate. Ive just "stacked" mine together sofar so i dont know how the final fit will be.
It was cleanly cast but the main body had to have three replacements before i got one that was workable, sad.

I also wounder if FW have anysortof quality controll at all befor shipping ?

Here is the Step by Step of the Machina Opus



1 : Base Khemri Brown.
2 : I use a round sticky label to have a regular circle
3 : Small circle with Chaos Black + marks them which will be marks for teeth of the notched wheel.
4 : We remove the sticky label.
5 : Filling of the circle with Chaos Black and painting of teeth, marks being used to make the left side of each teeth.
6 : Drawing of half a crane with Astronomican Grey, then first shade by adding to it some Shadow Grey and the Black.
7 : Filling of the left part of Machina in Astronomican Grey.
8 : Drawing of the mechanical silhouette with a mixture of Chaos Black and Astronomican Grey and lights on the osseous part by adding of Skull White to the original mixture.
9 : Accentuated by the mechanical part with Chaos Black.
10 : Lights by adding tint of grey in the Black + Astro. And added of details.

That's it.

Excellent step by step. Lining those cogs in freehand is a pain, and you make it look easy! I'm digging the Termis, though for some reason Grimmus looks incomplete to me... maybe it all the brown or the weapon...

I just spent a half hour going through this thread and I'm amazed, your Admech Marines are absolutely inspiring. I think your Forge Father may be my favorite 40k conversion to date and if I hadn't already started painting my Marines I'd think about doing a Mechanicus force myself.

Ils sont vraiment trop cool, et ne t'inquiète pas de ton anglais, c'est bien compréhensible. Je ne quitte pas la Bretagne trop souvent mais si jamais je me trouve en Normandie il faut que je visite ton magasin, il a l'air beaucoup plus cool que son équivalent ici à Rennes.

@BowlingShirtJerk- perhaps the sense of incompletion comes from the lack of a trophy/ icon at the top of the banner pole? I for one was initially thrown by its absence- its a very GW touch that is missing, the more I look the less I mind though.
