Oh excellent job, my only criticism is that the Bug seems to be hanging off the edge a bit, and just erks me. Such an outstanding concept, big thumbs up![]()
Hey, come and check out my log 'o guard right here.

While you're at it, maybe check out his other stuff too?
"You can't rush art" - The old guy from Toy Story 2
Now I get it! I kept wondering what those two guys were doing up there with their hands up. Awesome idea! Funny yet applicable to Guard!
Well done in terms of modelling and very crisply painted!
Developer of the Death Squads 40k skirmish game!
It's not Kill Team, it's not Mordheim, it's not Necromunda. But it's all that and more!
Death Squads is an entirely fanmade skirmish game set in the 40k universe. Go check it out!
I purposefully designed it so that the carnifex was overhanging the base slightly, as I feel that it gives more depth to the overall diorama. There are a few more figures in progress to be added, so I'm afraid I am going to make you all wait to see the final composition.
Cygnusmaximus - I have a soldier converted holding a TV camera type thing on his shoulder, but I like the servo skull idea! I may have to add one or two around him.
One last thing, I am still undecided on the title. I am wavering between a few but any suggestions anyone has would be much welcomed!

Looking good! The painting is crisp and spot on, the concept is brilliant!
The one minor criticism I have would be the two guys holding the banner. Their hand just don't seem right. If you have to hold up a heavy piece of cloth your hands are almost fists, so you don't lose your grip. Theirs are just too 'open', if you catch my drift.
Can't wait to see this completed. And servo skulls are a great idea. Or maybe a servitor waiting with a tray full of glasses of water, like the boy at the very end of Black Hawk Down?
Cheers,

For the title what about "Would you like to know more?"
Emilio
At the moment i'm torn between these:
"A picture is worth a thousand words"
"Smile!"
"Comrades"
"Victory"
Ref the flag, Regimental flags are actually fairly light, like holding a towel really. So they don't have to grip too tight.

Love the idea behind this one, really original.
Necromundan IG, the quick an easy way here, now with squats and other Rogue Trader era goodness.
Check out my Death Guard project log as I try to build them up for Apocalypse.
i think this is just awesomely done, though i'd maybe dirty them up just a bit, to add a little more touch of realism to it
as for the title? "They only lasted another 30 minutes" pretty defeatist, but i think it really hints at what Guard life is all about, cherishing every little battle you win, cause when you're a soldier in the Imperium's Grinder, its only a matter of time

Im really liking Monsterzonks idea. I would definitely go with "A picture is worth a thousand words". The other ideas are fantastic but this one appeals to me most.
How about a simple "Say Cheese"
I have ordered 2 brass plaques, One says "Victory" and the other "A picture is worth a thousand words". That way I can see what suits the finished piece the most.
I like the commissar idea, If I had more space/time I would consider it. However, the general idea is that this is the day after the main battle, so all the smaller tyranids and dead guardsment have been removed and buried/burnt and these chaps are having their photo taken with the dead 'fex before it is hauled away by a trojan or somesuch.

Yeah, I suspected there wouldn't be enough time left for bigger changes. I just thought it'd enhance the irony of propaganda a little more: They've lost dozens of men to kill the beast, and then just hide the bodies out of shot and declare it a major victory... Too bad there isn't the time...
I think I'd simply go with "Victory" as the title. It has more impact.
Cheers,

A few years back I did something similar, an officer with a couple of guys having their photo taken with a dead carnifex and just out of shot wounded guardsmen walking past and a whole double row of graves - lasguns with helmets on top. Didnt place well though as I didnt put as much thought, time or effort into it. This one is coming together much better.

I would call it "Say Cheese!"
It just seems fitting given the current feeling toward Imperial Guard.
So how do you expect us NOT to steal this Idea?
