My MALIFAUX plog

Ok, I'm gonna start playing Malifaux in a few weeks (hopefully) and have decided, mainly due to baby Kade & Teddy, to do The Neverborn. So far, i have the poltergeist which is featured here today coz its the first Malifaux figure i have finished, and awaiting a final touch is a Voodoo doll and should hopefully be on here soon. I am still awaiting the arrival of my Legion of sorrow boxed set too.

In the meantime, here is my movie star Poltergeist, you know, the one that was in the film of he same name. Go on, check it out if you don't believe me

Well, its been a while, so here is the rest of my Neverborn Crew. First up my Voodoo Doll & Sorrows. For the Sorrows i wanted to giv them an ethereal look, so I painted from the bottom to give them a dirty-smokeish look, blending up into a blue/grey. I also wanted to do somthing different with the faces so done them boney looking. Over all I am pleased with the finished look.

Lovely stuff!
I just recently picked up some malifaux stuff to, and I love the neverbourn.
So far O got the Linith box and the Lady Justice box, but Pandora will definitely be the next one!
Looking forward for more!

Hi there,

I have just recently fallen in love with some of the Malifaux models myself, so I might have to start my own crews at some point. I like the idea of a skirmish game with a small model count on each side where you can treat all models with the same paint job normally reserved for characters.

Wyrd miniatures have some beautiful sculpts - and I like what you have done to them. Really liking your muted tones on Pandora.

Btw, do the models come with cool bases, or do you have to get that somewhere else?

I made the bases myself, not great i know but it was my first attept at sculpting bases. Other than that, they come with the same kind of bases you'd get with Warmachine/Hordes, although you can buy some very nice scenic bases from wierd for the game. Alternitivly, you could mailorder from any decent online shop that sells mini's.

Thanks, Endor. I am my own worst critic. Once i have become more accomplished I may give the mini's new bases. Its just experimentation at the moment, Not sure if sculpting them with milliput is better than with greenstuff or not. S'pose its all about learning how they work.

Monsterzonk- cheers, it may be a while before i get any more minis on here due to RL. and xmas(grr) but it will get updated with more.

Sweet Neverborn! That voodoo doll is great! I'm just getting into Malifaux with my Gremlin crew, and reading through the rulebook. Sorry if I missed this, but have you played any games yet? How is the game?

I think Candy's my personal favorite so far. She's very well done and feels suitably creepy.

@Dakkapantz,AKA Peyton- Unfortunatly i have had the pleasure of playing only one game due to RL delivering me an untimly blow. It plays well, and the rules seem simple enough. The idea of using cards instead of dice is genius.

@Loveless- Thanks. I like her too, I wanted to try to capture that "Village of the Damned" Meets "Little red riding-hood" look whilst trying to still make her look kinda girly and cute.

I rather like the Poltergeist, the colours work really well and the DIY bases are looking fab too.
