    Why not just post the picture rather than the link?

    Use the 'Insert Image' button, or just follow the format: (IMG]http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/5766/p10000071.jpg[/IMG) But make the ( and ) on the ends [ and ].

    P.S. Bright bretonnians are always nice

    Re: Bretonnians on Crusade

    I agree, just link the pics themselves.

    I like the concept of basing the color scheme off of real life knightly orders. Good idea. Perhaps a different order for each unit? Knights Templar had an excellent scheme.

    And one question... Why paint them 'ASAP'? Are you in a race?

    I don't know about time but despite looking rushed your lines are neat and you pulled off the knights of jerusalem scheme quite well.

    I'll try to get around to getting more pictures soon as I only recently worked out how to use Gimp to fix my ridiculous yellow hue problem. It's hard to get the right amount of lighting because basically all the lights in my house are 'warm' lights and this for some reason messes up the white balance on my camera. Thankfully gimp has a white balance tool and that's basically solved my problem be prepared for lots more pics as I've done quite a lot of painting between 2010 and now.

    Re: Bretonnians on Crusade

    Empire army that I began with mainly vallejo paints to test the hipe on how much better they are. Honestly I bought a pack of advanced game colour and It's really not that much better in terms of coverage and thickness than citadel paints and after a bit of research it seems model colour is what I should be after so until then...
    P.S One major major bonus for my painting came with rosemary and co. series 22 brushes which I can firmly say are A HUGE UPGRADE from citadel brushes which I were never happy with and frankly, a poor excuse for a 'hand-made' brush. In short citadel brushes=piss poor pathetic excuse for a brush, rosemary and co. = great brushes, great value (cheaper than GW) great quality and great service.

    Bonus eye-candy 40k marines that I spent a lot of time on because I really wanted to get something like 'eavy metal standards on the Vanguard vets. Unfortunately the pics of my Sanguinary guard didn't come out properly as the yellow lighting+gold must have interfered with something since they came out with a bad white balance even after I auto corrected on gimp. There's also a WIP land raider that I'm working hard on to try and get a nice blended tone across the armour plates.

    Also, has anyone else had the problem of GW grass flock turning GW snow flock yellow/green? Caused havoc on most of my bases and I resorted to double coating+painting acrylic white onto the snow. I've narrowed it down to either GW grass or sunlight.

    Certain glues can also turn snow yellow, so don't rule that out as an option

    @Grain Weevil
    Thanks! It's a lot easier than it looks and of course I don't mind lol I actually copied it from this website you should check it out it has amazing bret knights http://www.paintedfantasyminiatures....er-miniatures/
    @Karlon
    That's also what I thought so I tried using GW glue instead with the same result. I suspect its the grass though as it turns a greenish/yellow and I've also noticed that when placed with water the grass loses its colour and the water turns green.

    Update time! Please let me know what you fellas prefer, images as attachments or direct images like the ones bellow. Also I think it's the water that I add to my snow mixture of snow+glue+white paint+water that is making the grass seep its colour into the snow!

    Some dark and gritty flagellants and their unit filler that points to different cities - always handy, especially for a band of wailing fanatics.

    Re: Jerry's Bretonnians and Empire

    Probably going to be adding 40 halberdiers and 20 greatswords into the mix in a few weeks as well as the anticipated new empire releases which I'm very much looking forward to! Especially the rumoured war altar which would be a very nice centre piece for my army. Hopefully it won't cost upwards of $100 although unfortunately it probably will...sigh...
    Many of you, like me would probably cringe if you were to add up the amount of money you've spent on warhammer. For me its probably upwards of almost $2000 over the past 5 years which seems to be growing exponentially... although I have been stemming the tide recently by selling my sideline armies.

    Anyways please comment and subscribe to keep the pictures coming or comment and tell me to stop if you are so inclined which is completely o.k and I DEFINITELY won't take offence :P

    Wow! So many Bretonnian plogs active on the forums today!! Makes me wanna start one of my own!!! hehehe

    I love the bright colours that you used, Jerry! And your checks and stripes fit Bretonnians so well! Maybe just a little cleaning up on your lines, but with them ranked up like that, it's hard to even notice! Great looking army!

    @Saulot, Thank you very much! Yeh the lines kinda get to me my brushes have hairs that are far too long for painting straight lines so I'll probably get some shorter bristle brushes.

    Update Time!
    Wow the new empire hurricanum model is absolutely amazinGGGGGGGG! Any one should pick this up and just go to town there is that much detail on the model there's just so much potential to create an absolutely amazing model.

    Let's warm things up with this random picture of a vanguard vet I painted a while back...never been able to take such good pictures ever again...

    Re: Jerry's Bretonnians and Empire

    Hello everyone it's time for an update!
    Been busy assembling lots of new greatswords and halberdiers so stay tuned for some state troops in a few weeks or so.
    Anyway to continue my current WIP hurricanum some pictures of how it's going atm. Some issues I think I really messed up the colour scheme because I painted on far too many colours the model doesn't really tie together that well IMO. Although it's really because there is just too much happening on the model for my liking. Detail is nice but I think the chasis is a bit over done.

    Also you may notice I'm using a new background! It's the artwork in the empire army book and I think it goes quite nicely and isn't the usual bland colour you see.
    Also I'd really like some feedback on image sizes so please tell me which images are too big/too small and what pixellage I should use!

    And here's my first real attempt at wet blending, only ever really done it before out of convenience when I've been too lazy to wait for the coat to dry. For anyone who doesn't know what wet blending is it's pretty much highlighting over a wet coat ie putting on highlights whilst the basecoat isn't dry and then blending it in around the edges to give it a smooth transition although this usually happens automatically if your paint is watered down enough.
    Anyway not the best example of wet blending but I thought the end result was a pretty nice natural green look for my life wizard. And yes I know he has the symbol of light but really the symbol for life is pretty much the symbol for light tilted 90 degrees
