The various regions do look different , puffy sleves for the more rich areas , over the top paneling and detailing for each type of knight ( panther etc) , probably conversion kits for different regions, stank upgrade kits.

I'm not sure what the big 'things' could be. 40K has stupid over sized tanks and Titans, I'm not sure where they can go with this in Fantasy, but I'm looking forward to it all the same. I just hope they do a Man o War type ship game in the same fashion they did Aeronautica.

Big things could be anything. I'm holding out for a Royal War hydra for my Dark Elves but having a quick scan at the Warmaster stuff there's plenty of things that could be scaled up to WFB size.

But for forgeworld, I think his work is good, they can't afford to produce horrible model that won't sell.

Cant wait for news to start trickling in. Will Games Day go on through the weekend or is it one day? Do they generally have everything out at once when the doors open or do they release bits of info throughout the show?

I've been into the hobby a while but I've never been excited enough to get specifics...and Games Days in the US (LA for me) always seemed more buck and less bang so I've never been inclined to go.

well 2 models are going to be available and presented...one of it is pretty surely the griffon which has been mentioned on several sites...the other one, my guess would be skaven regarding iob or o&g's regarding the upcomming book

    Re: Warhammer Forge

    Ok great news.

I'm curious what they will come up with.
    My wish list:
    Abyssal Terror
    Hellsteed
    Carnosaur ( make it huge)
    Hellpit Abomination
    Skaven Broodmother
    Warpstone based war machines
Dragons, Please make a real terrifying Zombie dragon
    Tomb Scorpion
    Bone Giant
    Ushabti
    Etc Etc....

As for the dangers of Resin...
Just wash the stuff and if you're really afraid use a dust mask.

I don't think this should be such an issue, i'm an older collector i still have real lead mini's, i ain't dead yet.
For those of you so concerned about the dangers of Resin, I take it you guys don't:
    -smoke
    -drink
    -eat loads of junk food
    -eat loads of candy
-play pc games for morre then 4 hours in a row.
    -live???

I don't wanna tick you off, but almost everything in this life brings a little risk. just be a bit careful, a bit of soap gets you a long way with Resin.

In the past Forgeworld had some great display models of a Skaven Seer, A Lizardmen Temple Guard, A Night Goblin and these were awesome. Nowadays they make some Ogre Rhinox Riders, a Huge giant and Dragon, Chaos Spawn. If these are signs of things to come i'm really excited.

I'm dreaming of a GOOD sculpted unit of Blood Knights. The Vampire sculpts from GW are below standard these days. I use Gamezone and Reaper now to represent my bloodsuckers.

I for one am really excited. The first time in a long time something about Warhammer got me excited again. I love the background, i paint more then i play. Love the fluff. Most of my models are from othere ranges these days. Warhammer Forge might change that.

Chaos Dwarves? Good Idea, but please make them look more sinsiter, instead of those Russian style hats. I would love to see a great Taurus though. Hopefully the models won't be overpriced.
I hope there will be pics soon.

My opinion too. After plastic unit boxes, Forge World is the best thing about this hobby by far in my view, and having them make so few fantasy models was always deeply regrettable. If we get a range of similar variety and quality of model releases for fantasy now, that pushes Warhammer into a new league as far as I'm concerned.

However your post has brought it home to me why I am not bothered about the dangers of resin.
The rest of your list is pretty much my life story.

Clearly a bit of resin is the last of my worries.

I'd imagine that those giant spiders and contraptions that house loads of Goblin archers could make an appearence from then? Well I suppose we will just have to wait and see.

I think a Black Ark would be pointless in warhammer. It couldn't move but has horific amount of shooting and magical mist.
I really hope they make a proper War Alter like the picture in the old 7th ed rule book.

The arachnaroc (giant spider) is plastic, and released by GW next year.

People, i know I made a wishlist too, but at least I tried to keep it coherent with the news rumours: the rumours say "Not gonna make minis already released or armybook entries in need of a model".
This obviously rules out the hell pit abomination. Not that the abomb was specifically mentionned as an exemple matters much it seems >>

A Black Ark? Why not a complete kit of Altdorf while you're at it?

    Re: Warhammer Forge

Just to clear something up... "Not make models already released" is a bit misleading. They could for instance invent an empire knights chapter and release knights. Technically the 'empire knights' already exist. Or they could do spearmen, DE chariots etc.

They could do themed models for any army (as long as the basic theme already exists). For example tzeentch chosen etc.

Not saying anything in particular here, just they could do these.

    Re: Warhammer Forge

Forgeworld make Busts and other models pure for display too. So a Black ark could be done i guess.
Anyway there are loads of things they could do. Maybe a tribe of Forest Goblins.

When you look at what is available now for 40k, FW still makes Imperial Guard and Marines models, these already exists in the codexes and are just different regiments or chapters. So a bunch of Empire Knights from a different order could be produced without a problem. I still hope for Blood Knights...

I saw the new high elf plastic dragon princes, and they're damn near perfect blood knights. The style of the armour and helmets, everything, perfect. Paint them crimson and the elves pale ( not that hard ) and you has bloodknightz.

I'm quite excited about what they;ll be making. The Chaos dwarfs rumour has been floating around, so who knows. Maybe my twisted brethren will make an appearance along with a forge armybook.
    * grumble * but chaos dwarfs don't exist.. Chaos dwarfs are a lie!
