More reinforcements for the Relictors Battle Company
These have been made using FW Mark III Iron Armour and some FW weapons as well as plastics. The conversions are subtle, wrist guards from MkIII have been added to the MKVI and VII arms with the missile launchers, a missile magazine backpack to a MkIII pack, moving a few vents on the MkIII backpacks to enable the launchers to fit, the sergeant has the FW Boarding Marine helmet and an Aegis Defence Line Scanner signum atop the banner.
After the Devs, I wanted to finish my Assault Troops. So here is the Assault Squad VIII.
And the entire Assault Detachment from the Battle Company, Squad VII, VIII and a Chaplain.

New reinforcements for the Battle Company - a relic of a Heresy Era, a Contemptor Dreadnought - scavanged from a Dark Angel wreck, lost, presumed destroyed and now re-instated with a new pilot entombed in it's sarcophagus and new Chapter colours, hence the tribute to the Dark Angels on the kneepad. The Relictors fluff has them formed 5 milliennia after the HH and formed from Dark Angel and Ultramarine geneseed, to protect the Imperium from the Eye of Terror in the Age of Apostasy along with the White Consuls and a few other notable Chapters.
Anyway, pics and a comparison shot with a 'standard' 41st Millennium Dreadnought.

Really great Relictors, a Chapter I've always been very fond of.

I really like your Relictors! Great job! It's coll how you've found a fluffy way to include a Contemptor Dread in your force. Keep it up!

Very nice color scheme. Great painting as well. I look forward to seeing more!
Thanks for your comments,
Here's the latest addition to the Battle Company's armoury. Now really must finish the troops...
Godhammer variant at last, with FW doors too. Easier to paint than I expected. Keep getting distracted by the big guns... only an HQ Squad, 1 Dev Sqd and 3 Transports to finish the Battle Company as per Codex pictures. But already started another Dreadnought.
Must get back to the everlasting painting war...
Really Impressive stuff. Would love to see it all set out ready to fight
It's looking great mate! Can we see a army picture please

Just been to Warhammer World to fight on their Fortress Table, great fun 3-way with Tyranids, Daemons and Relictors. This is the 3500pt force I used, not all my army but a fair sized chunk.
And next up is the newest addition to the growing Relictor's Battle Company... my second Rifleman Dreadnought. Made from an AoBR Dread, Aegis Defence Line quad gun barrels and some melta gun barrels as exhausts plus some spikey bits...

I've got about 6,000pts of Relictors painted now - still have a squad of Devs and 3 transports to finish before a 'Battle Company' is actually done. I get side tracked on all the nice shooty stuff! Oh well...
Haha no worries, you know i get distracted all the time... xD DAMN MONEY ALWAYS TEMPTING ME! hopefully my butt will get in gear and get some progress maybe ill have time after work tomorrow.cant wait to see more for you!

Your fastidious application of squad markings, heraldry, and scrollwork names is excellent. I also really like the diversity of the army too.
I must ask though, have you considered washing your models? Forgive my forwardness, but your grey armour would really benefit from a layer of Babab Black to add a further degree of shading and blend the different shades together. Likewise, Devlan Mud is gret for yellow metals like gold.
Keep up the great work!
Cheers. The Codex Grey is washed with Badab Black, but not the 1st Tactical Squad, must go back and do that. The gold is Brazen Brass with Shining Gold highlights and then Mithril Silver, but maybe would benefit from awash of Devlan Mud magic wash! Thanks for the crits and praise, learn all the time.
Washes, like friendship, are indeed magic. I wash every part of my models now, something I didn't do less than 3 months ago, and I've never looked back. I also recommend using Gryphonne Sepeia on muzzle scorchmarks to blend the brown/black drybrushing together. Keep on trucking/Relicting, fella.![]()
Another Relictor to add to the Battle Company, Apothecary for the Command Squad. I've used the Fabius Bile Backpack with the addition of the Helix on the reverse and a Spotlight to make it look vaguely Imperial still...

Okay, another HQ Squad member for your viewing pleasure... the big daddy of them all, my take on Marneus Calgar, or as I like to call him, Marneus Relicgar! I've modified thestock model using small skulls to replace the Ultramarine tabbard 'U's and the right gauntlet 'U' has been replaced with a Terminator Crux, the Iron Halo 'U' is replaced with a grimacing skull and the head with a MKIII FW Iron Armour helmet - my favourite bit. Only the belt buckle 'U' remains but i've painted the surround to match the gold so you can only see it's still a darn 'U' if you lok real close...
Oh, and the right Pauldron Shield 'U' has also been replaced with the Shield from a plastic Terminator skull and crossbone design! A lot of Un-Ultrafying was needed!

That's great. There are so many omegas, that I haven't bought a MC model yet, because I didn't want to get into hiding all that. But you've done a great job, and it looks quite easy.
For the belt, I know it might be too late, but you could fill in the upper part of the omega with some green stuff, and turn the omega into shield.
