Very nice looking. The free hand on the sheilds looks super awsome.

Excellent stuff! How do you paint red hair, may I ask?

Although I hate to die the 2005 Dwarves (Battle for Skull Pass style), your work rocks! It's nice to see Dwarves well painted.
This is the war-ravaged world of Warhammer, and there's only WAR!... and hammers.
A bit of W.I.P. I got a box of dwarf warriors for my birthday so I'm building a regiment of dwarf warriors with great weapons.

The Bearded One, i am a dwarf player too, and i love my dwarfs just as much as the next fanatic, and i have to say that this is amazing! I absolutely love your grudge thrower, and the free handed shields are divine. Thanks for the "Beard Recipes" too. I am definitely impressed!

Really top notch painiting. As others have said there is some amazing freehand on some of the shields. Just off to look at your Skaven plog, if this is anything to go by it should be pretty good!
Great painting. I look forward to more!
I modelled 10 guys, that'll go with the 10 guys above to replace my shield&axe warriors in battle.
I tried to mix the number of faces because The warrior kit has only 4 variations on which great weapon arms fit, so I used some faces left over from the quarreler kit. The arms of those faces don't fit on the GW arms ( the lower hand won't reach the stump of the arm ) so I had to do a bit of cutting and clipping. I did a number of minor conversions. 3 of them have their greataxe leaning on their shoulder, which is pretty easy to do by using several parts. 1 of those 3 also has a barrel of beer, 1 is greenstuffed to make the arm fit, and a last one was a face with no arm stump on it at all, so I hacked, glued and chopped, using an arm for the right side, an arm bit where you usually put a shield on. With a bit of effort I seamlessly fitted it on the arm on the left. That's not the original GW arm either but an arm that used to hold a handweapon and was stretched out in the perfect position.
Enough rambling
An example of a leaning axe. The arm, hand and upper half of the axe are from different components
I do like the pose the previous edition warrior kit had for the great weapons, that's why I used that again. Nothing is cooler than leaning a weapon on your shoulder.

Looking good so far. Like the little tutorial on how you repositioned the hands.

They're coming along very nicely, I really like the way you've done the shouldered axes.
The shoulder holder axe wielder is looking ace, really nice little conversion job that gives the model a hint of uniqueness!
I've finished all the blue sleeves and am currently starting on all the khaki trims. After that it's time for faces and beards, followed by the woodwork and finally the bases.

Update:
Master engineer and a marker that marks which warmachine is entrenched.
The white dwarf and his friends in all their glory. I am hoping to finish him in time for a golden demon'esque painting comp for the netherlands that will be somewhere in the next months. Have to check next week when that is.
